    摘要: An image collator includes a first region disposing unit which disposes plural first regions on a first fingerprint image in a fixed positional relation, a first maximum correlation region detecting unit which detects a maximum correlation region whose correlation with image data of each of the first regions becomes maximum from a second fingerprint image, a second region disposing unit which disposes plural second regions on the first fingerprint image in accordance with a positional relation of the maximum correlation regions, a second maximum correlation region detecting unit which detects a region whose correlation with image data of each of the second regions from the second fingerprint image, and a determining unit which determines whether or not identity exists between the first fingerprint image and the second fingerprint image by comparing the distribution of the regions with the distribution of the maximum correlation regions.

    摘要: A speech of a registered speaker input from an input unit is converted by a converting unit to a sound spectrogram “A” and stored. As a speech of a speaker to be identified is input from the input unit and converted to a sound spectrogram “B” by the converting unit, a detecting unit detects a partial image including a plurality of templates placed in the registered speech image A by a placing unit, and each of areas on the unknown speech image B in which maximum correlation coefficients are calculated. Then, a determining unit compares a mutual positional relationship of the plurality of templates with a mutual positional relationship of the respective areas in which the maximum correlation coefficients are detected to determine from the degree of difference therebetween the identity between the registered speech and the unknown speech.

    摘要: By forming an outer wall over a space around an ink storage chamber of an ink cartridge or by providing convexities arranged at intervals of not more than 10 mm on an outer surface of a housing which forms the ink storage chamber, a possible ink recharging hole provided in the housing is prevented from being sealed. Different kinds of ink cartridges are manufactured which have different inner compositions which cannot be discriminated in appearance. Any desired ink cartridges are selected randomly from those manufactured ones and shipped. This prevents the user from recharging any one of the ink cartridges with an ink from an unreliable source through a possible hole formed in the wall of the ink cartridge to thereby prevent a print head and/or printer from malfunctioning.

    摘要: Each of the washing units A and B comprises an openable and closable pinch valve unit 4 branchwise connected to a pipeline C, an autofeeder unit 5 for controlling the feed for advance and retraction movement of a high pressure hose 6 having rotatable nozzle unit connected to the front end thereof, and a hose reel unit 7 for winding and unwinding the high pressure hose. During washing operation, the nozzle unit enters the pipeline C through the pinch valve unit 4 now opened to wash the inner surface of the pipeline. During nonwashing period, the nozzle unit is moved rearward and completely isolated from the pipeline by the pinch valve unit 4 now closed. Therefore, the washing units A and B are completely separated from the pipeline C during nonwashing period.
