摘要: In an evaporative fuel processing device, a constriction is provided in a refueling line 1 for a fuel tank T and connected to a diaphragm actuator through a negative pressure tube. When fuel passes through the constriction during refueling, the diaphragm actuator causes a switch-over valve 5 to be switched by the action of a negative pressure generated at the constriction, thereby permitting an evaporative fuel generated in the fuel tank to be introduced into a canister used during refueling. During normal operation which is other than the time of refueling, the negative pressure disappears and hence, the switch-over valve is switched, thereby permitting the evaporative fuel to be introduced into a canister used during normal operation. Thus, it is possible to reliably collect the evaporative fuel generated during refueling into the fuel tank by a simple structure.

摘要: A rear panel is provided in rear of a connecting wall rising upwardly from a rear end of a front floor panel, and a fuel tank supported within a subframe is disposed beneath a lower surface of the rear floor panel. A gas fume absorbing canister and a muffler are juxtaposed in a lateral direction of a vehicle body in a space which is surrounded by a rear surface of a middle cross-member secured to a rear surface of the connecting wall, a front surface of the fuel tank and the lower surface of the rear floor panel. Thus, it is possible to shorten a purge passage connected from the canister to an engine, to protect the canister from collision against a stepping stone or the like, to insure the volume of a trunk room and to enhance the purging efficiency of the canister utilizing a heat of the muffler by reasonably disposing the canister at a rear portion of the vehicle body.

摘要: A wave absorbing member including a cage-shaped container housing a sponge that imparts resistance to the passing of fuel is arranged inside a tank body. Therefore, an impact by collision of the fuel can be absorbed, noise caused by undulation of the fuel can be reduced, and violent undulation of a fuel level can be effectively suppressed by the wave absorbing member. The wave absorbing member is supported by a pipe that is arranged inside the tank body and passes through a through hole formed in the container. A movement restricting member is provided on the pipe to limit movement of the wave absorbing member along the pipe. Therefore, the wave absorbing member is reliably positioned along the pipe and within the tank body with a simple structure.

摘要: A device for preventing a fueling error reliably prevents a fueling error by accurately preventing an insertion of a small-diameter nozzle without blocking an insertion of a large-diameter nozzle whose entrance should be permitted. Even if an end of a nozzle is strongly pressed to left-and-right shutter members (22), the shutter members (22) never rotate and move in an opening direction unless the shutter members (22) slide and move to an outside of a radial direction. Thus, the structure prevents the shutter members (22) from erroneously moving to a position in which the nozzle is allowed to enter from a blocking position.

摘要: A dust filter unit for a canister is provided. An inlet port and an outlet port are formed in a housing and opening into the atmosphere. A communication port is formed in the housing and leading to the canister. A filter is arranged within the housing at a location between the inlet port and the output port. A first one-way valve is arranged within the housing at a location between the communication port and the outlet port, for allowing evaporative fuel to flow from the communication port to the outlet port. A second one-way valve is arranged within the housing at a location between the filter and the communication port, for allowing fresh air to flow from the filter to the communication port. Thus, the inlet port, outlet port, communication port, and first and second one-way valves are all provided in one piece within the housing.

摘要: A wave suppression structure for a fuel tank is provided in which a wave suppression member (37) disposed in the interior of a tank main body of the fuel tank is formed from a basket-shaped container (38) and cylindrical porous members (39), the basket-shaped container (38) being formed from two members, first and second half bodies (38L, 38R), two of the porous members (39) being supported in the interior of each of the first and second half bodies (38L, 38R), wherein the wave supporting member (37) is supported on a fuel suction pipe (36) by joining the first and second half bodies (38L, 38R) of the basket-shaped container (38) so as to sandwich a fuel suction pipe (36) between a through hole (38f) thereof. This enables attachment of the wave suppression member (37) to the fuel suction pipe (36) to be completed without carrying out a cumbersome operation of inserting the fuel suction pipe (36) through the through hole (38f) of the basket-shaped container (38) or the interior of the porous member (39), thereby greatly improving the ease of attachment.

摘要: A vehicle fuel supply device including a saddle-shaped fuel tank comprised of a main chamber and an auxiliary chamber. A reservoir is disposed within the main chamber. A main pump is provided within the reservoir. A sub-pump is detachably provided within the reservoir. The fuel in the reservoir is drawn up by an operation of the main pump to supply fuel to an engine. A portion of the drawn-up fuel is utilized to generate a negative pressure, the negative pressure is utilized to transfer the fuel in the auxiliary chamber to the reservoir, and the negative pressure is utilized to introduce the fuel in the main chamber into the reservoir.
