    摘要: A wave suppression structure for a fuel tank is provided in which a wave suppression member (37) disposed in the interior of a tank main body of the fuel tank is formed from a basket-shaped container (38) and cylindrical porous members (39), the basket-shaped container (38) being formed from two members, first and second half bodies (38L, 38R), two of the porous members (39) being supported in the interior of each of the first and second half bodies (38L, 38R), wherein the wave supporting member (37) is supported on a fuel suction pipe (36) by joining the first and second half bodies (38L, 38R) of the basket-shaped container (38) so as to sandwich a fuel suction pipe (36) between a through hole (38f) thereof. This enables attachment of the wave suppression member (37) to the fuel suction pipe (36) to be completed without carrying out a cumbersome operation of inserting the fuel suction pipe (36) through the through hole (38f) of the basket-shaped container (38) or the interior of the porous member (39), thereby greatly improving the ease of attachment.

    摘要: A device for preventing a fueling error reliably prevents a fueling error by accurately preventing an insertion of a small-diameter nozzle without blocking an insertion of a large-diameter nozzle whose entrance should be permitted. Even if an end of a nozzle is strongly pressed to left-and-right shutter members (22), the shutter members (22) never rotate and move in an opening direction unless the shutter members (22) slide and move to an outside of a radial direction. Thus, the structure prevents the shutter members (22) from erroneously moving to a position in which the nozzle is allowed to enter from a blocking position.

    摘要: A rear panel is provided in rear of a connecting wall rising upwardly from a rear end of a front floor panel, and a fuel tank supported within a subframe is disposed beneath a lower surface of the rear floor panel. A gas fume absorbing canister and a muffler are juxtaposed in a lateral direction of a vehicle body in a space which is surrounded by a rear surface of a middle cross-member secured to a rear surface of the connecting wall, a front surface of the fuel tank and the lower surface of the rear floor panel. Thus, it is possible to shorten a purge passage connected from the canister to an engine, to protect the canister from collision against a stepping stone or the like, to insure the volume of a trunk room and to enhance the purging efficiency of the canister utilizing a heat of the muffler by reasonably disposing the canister at a rear portion of the vehicle body.

    摘要: An evaporative fuel-processing system for an internal combustion engine includes a canister accommodating an adsorbent therein, for adsorbing evaporative fuel generated in a fuel tank of the engine, and a charging passage connecting between the canister and the fuel tank. A shutter valve is arranged in a fuel supply pipe of the fuel tank in the vicinity of an inlet end thereof, for isolating the interior of the fuel supply pipe from the atmosphere, and the shutter valve is disposed to be opened by the tip of a refueling gun when the latter is inserted into the fuel supply pipe. A pressure-intake port section is arranged in the fuel supply pipe at a side of the shutter valve closer to the main body of the fuel tank, for taking in pressure within the fuel supply pipe. A diaphragm valve is arranged in the charging passage, which has a casing, a diaphragm defining the interior of the casing into a first chamber and a second chamber, a valve element displaceable together with the diaphragm, an evaporative fuel outlet disposed to be opened and closed by the valve element, and a spring urging the valve element in a direction of closing the evaporative fuel outlet. The first chamber communicates with the pressure-intake port section, and the second chamber communicates with the interior of the fuel tank.

    摘要: A constant-pressure operating valve is provided to allow communication between a canister passage connected to a canister and a fuel tank passage connected to a fuel tank and to selectively terminate the communication between them. The constant-pressure operating valve is opened when the internal pressure of the fuel tank exceeds a predetermined value, thereby allowing the fuel vapor in the fuel tank to flow into the canister. Further, when the engine is in operation, the constant-pressure operating valve can be opened, for example, through the action of solenoid, irrespective of the internal pressure of the fuel tank. If the constant-pressure operating valve is opened when the internal pressure of the fuel tank is less than the predetermined value, then the fuel vapor in the fuel tank is drawn into the canister, and so even if the lid of the fuel tank is opened in this condition, the amount of the vapor escaping into the atmosphere is limited.

The first fuel chamber, the communication chamber, and the second fuel chamber are molded integrally by resin blow molding. The communication chamber is provided with a protrusion which is convex when viewed from the inside of the communication chamber and a depression which is concave when viewed from the outside of the communication chamber, at a first fuel chamber side relative to the sleeve member in the communication chamber.
