    摘要: A piston type compressor has a housing, a crank chamber and a drive shaft supported by the housing. A front restriction and a rear restriction are located in the housing. The front and rear restrictions restrict axial movement of the drive shaft. The front restriction restricts forward movement of the drive shaft. The rear restriction restricts rearward axial movement of the drive shaft. A first clearance is located between the rear end of the drive shaft and the rear restriction when the drive shaft is restricted by the front restriction. A second clearance is formed between the piston and a valve plate when the drive shaft is restricted by the front restriction and when the piston is in the top dead center position. The first clearance is narrower than the second clearance. The method of assembly the piston easily sets the first clearance.

A first spring urges the valve body towards the first regulator. A sensing member divides a sensing chamber into a first pressure chamber and a second pressure chamber. The sensing member moves in accordance with the pressure difference. A regulator surface regulates the movement of the sensing member. A temporary chamber is formed between the sensing member and the valve body when the valve body is disconnected from the sensing member. The temporary chamber is connected to the second pressure chamber. A second spring urges the sensing member toward the regulator surface. An actuator applies a force to the valve body that is opposite to the force of the first spring and that of the second spring in accordance with commands from an external controller.

    摘要: A controller controls a displacement of a compressor which is installed in a refrigerant circuit of an air-conditioning system. The controller has a pressure difference detector. An air conditioning switch turns the air conditioning system on. A temperature detector detects the temperature in a compartment. A control valve controls the displacement of the compressor such that the pressure difference detected by the pressure difference detector approaches a target value. A computer determines the target value. The computer changes the target value, depending on the detected temperature. The computer limits the target value to a target value limit. After a predetermined time expires from when the air conditioning switch is turned on, the computer changes the limit. This permits the displacement of the compressor to be promptly and reliably changed.

    摘要: A control valve is used for a cooling apparatus having a compressor including a displacement variation mechanism and an external refrigerant circuit connected to the compressor to form a cooling circuit. The discharge displacement of the compressor is regulated by controlling a control pressure, which acts on the displacement control mechanism. The control valve has a housing and an internal passage. The internal passage includes a valve chamber defined in the housing. A valve body is located in the valve chamber and controls the opening degree of the internal passage. A first pressure sensing structure senses the differential pressure between two pressure monitoring points in the cooling circuit, that is, a primary pressure, and transmits a force corresponding to the primary pressure to the valve body. A second pressure sensing structure senses a secondary pressure, which is different from the primary pressure, and applies the secondary pressure to the valve body. The valve body is positioned in the valve chamber by a combination of forces corresponding to the primary pressure and the secondary pressure, and the opening degree of the internal passage is controlled accordingly.

The discharge passage has a discharge chamber, a discharge hole and an accommodation chamber. The discharge chamber and the accommodation chamber are communicated with each other through the discharge hole. The oil separator is provided in the accommodation chamber. The oil separator has a separation member and an oil reserved area. The oil reservoir is defined around an entire circumference of the partition wall which defines the discharge chamber therein. The oil reservoir is formed so as to communicate with the oil reserved area of the oil separator.
