摘要： When the user designates the reproduction of searching audio data, the designated searching audio data and audio volume data are read from a searching data recording portion. The searching audio data is reproduced corresponding to the audio volume data. When the user designates the reproduction of main audio data, the selected audio data is read from a disc and reproduced. In addition, number-of-reproduction-times data, audio volume data, audio quality data, and time period data for the designated main audio data that are updated in the searching data storing portion. The searching audio data corresponding to the designated main audio data is read from the disc corresponding to the audio quality data and the time period data and recorded to the searching data storing portion.

摘要： A tape cassette including a rib projecting upwardly from a bottom wall of a cassette case at a position between the center and one side of a tape drawing recess formed at the front of the cassette case, the rib being disposed close to the back surface of the tape, and a projection that projects from a back lid which, in a closed position, protects the back surface of the tape. When the back lid is rotated to reach an open position, the projection is kept in contact with an upper end of the rib. Accordingly, even when a part of the tape is lifted by the back lid during a lid opening operation, the tape is prevented from entering behind the rib, thereby also preventing tape jamming and damage to the tape player.

摘要： High-speed access to a multi-layered disk is to be realized. Each layer on a multi-layered disk includes an inside guard area 2, program area 3, and outer guard area 5 which are located in uniform radial positions in all layers. The uppermost layer has the recording direction from the inner side to the outer side of the disk, and the next layer has the recording direction from the outer side to the inner side of the disk such that opposite recording directions appear alternately. The radial position of the recording terminal end on the uppermost first layer coincides with the radial position of the start of record on the next second layer.
