摘要： An air bag apparatus having a constitution of developing an air bag folded to contain in a case to a rear side of a vehicle by making an expanding gas flow from a gas flow inlet in expanding to develop the air bag. The air bag is arranged with a through hole. The air bag is constituted by a ring-like member arranged with a lower expanded portion arranged with a gas flow inlet, an upper expanded portion arranged to an upper side of the lower expanded portion to communicate with a front side of the lower expanded portion, and a rear expanded portion arranged to connect to a rear part of the lower expanded portion and a rear part of the upper expanded portion at a surrounding of the through hole. The air bag is constituted to finish to expand by closing the through hole.

摘要： In an air bag device, a diffuser 5 is provided with a partition wall 51 partitioning a space on a case opening side of the diffuser 5 into a passenger side and a side further from the passenger; a gas guiding passage 7 for guiding gas produced by an inflator 4 to a case opening 21 is formed on the side of this partition wall 51 further from the passenger, a folded air bag 3 is packed on the passenger side of the partition wall 51, and a case-side end portion 32a of an air bag upper part 32 to constitute the upper part of the deployed air bag is disposed so as to cover the exit of the gas guiding passage 7. As a result, the end portion 32a of the air bag upper part 32 is expanded first and the air bag subsequently deploys progressively and smoothly from this air bag upper part 32 side in a controlled manner.

The inflator includes a body that discharges inflation gas and a fixing section that secures the body and the airbag to the case. The fixing section includes a projecting portion and the projecting portion extends at an upward or downward angle to the thickness direction of the glove box door.

摘要： A lower limb protecting airbag apparatus M1 is provided in front of the lower limbs L of an occupant D seated in a seat. At the collision of vehicles, the lower limb protecting airbag apparatus is operated to be able to protect the lower limbs of the occupant so that an airbag having inflated in front of the lower limbs is disposed therein. An accommodating part configured to accommodate and hold the airbag is supported by a support arm. A servo motor is activated to cause the support arm to feed the accommodating part from a standby position to a working position at which the airbag is expanded and inflated. The accommodating part has a support portion which can support a front surface side when the airbag having completed inflation at the working position catches the lower limbs.

摘要： An airbag of an airbag apparatus includes a bag body, a supplementary bag, a communication hole that communicates the bag body and the supplementary bag, an open/close element that opens and closes the communication hole and a connecting element extending from the open/close element. The connecting element is connected at the leading end to an anchor mechanism that regulates the operation of the open/close element under control of a control device. The open/close element keeps closing the communication hole while the anchor mechanism holds the connecting element whereas opens the communication hole when the anchor mechanism releases the connecting element such that inflation gas is fed into the supplementary bag.

摘要： An airbag device for front passenger's seat of the present invention includes an airbag folded and housed in a case. A rear side face of the airbag as completely deployed confronts an occupant and serves as a restraint face. The airbag includes an upper inflatable portion and a lower inflatable portion arranged vertically at airbag inflation. Rear side faces of each of the upper and lower inflatable portions define upper part and lower part of the restraint face. A lower wall of the upper inflatable portion and a top wall of the lower inflatable portion contact and overlap with each other as the airbag is completely inflated, and contacting face of the top wall and the lower wall is wide enough to stay contacted even when either the upper inflatable portion or the lower inflatable portion restrains a part of occupant.
