摘要： A variable vent mechanism has an air bag having a vent hole, a flap attached to the air bag at a first fix portion and covering the vent hole, a strap extending from a connection end of the flap, fixed to an attachment portion at a second fix portion, and fixing the flap in a closed position where the vent hole is closed, and a device which brings the strap into a free state. A relationship L3/L4 between a maximum length L3 between the first fix portion and the connection end in a first direction connecting the first and second fix portions, and a maximum length L4 of the first fix portion in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction satisfies 0.5≤L3/L4≤3.0. A length of the flap in the second direction is shorter on the connection end side than on the first fix portion side.

摘要： The present invention is a side airbag device stowed in a seatback of a vehicle seat, comprising: an inflator arranged on the occupant side of a side frame which is positioned on a side part inside the seatback, that generates expansion gas, and an airbag which expands due to said expansion gas and protects the occupant seated in the vehicle seat. The airbag includes a main chamber that deploys toward the front of the seatback, and a pre-chamber that houses the inflator inside and is connected to the occupant side of the main chamber. Furthermore, an integral joint without gaps is formed by sewing between at least the front edge part of the pre-chamber and the main chamber.

摘要： A method for controlling an airbag aboard a motor vehicle includes measuring a respective position of landmark points on an occupant of the motor vehicle using a sensor suite. The method includes receiving occupant landmark signals from the sensor suite, with the signals being indicative of the respective positions of the landmark points. A trajectory of the occupant is predicted, via the controller, using the occupant landmark signals. A controller adjusts a restraint capacity setting of the airbag in response to the predicted occupant trajectory. A motor vehicle includes a vehicle body, an airbag, a sensor suite, and a controller operable for controlling a restraint capacity setting of the airbag using the method. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium includes an instruction set that is executed to perform the method.

摘要： An airbag comprises an airbag panel defining an inflatable volume. A discharge port having a closure is formed in the airbag panel. A tether extends through the inflatable volume from a first end tightly connected to the airbag panel in the direction of the discharge port to an opposite second end. The discharge port closure is connected to the second tether end and the airbag panel. The tether at least in portions has a two-ply design and includes two strap layers. A control strap extends transversely to the tether through the inflatable airbag volume. A first control strap portion is fastened to the airbag panel and to the first strap layer. A second control strap portion is fastened to the airbag panel and to the second strap layer.
