One embodiment of the method includes steps of: dividing the plurality of items to a plurality of groups, each group and item are represented by a graphic image; arranging the plurality of groups in the form of a rotatable ellipse, wherein the plurality of groups are each movable into and out of an active area in the rotatable ellipse as an active group, and items of the active group are arranged in the form of a rotatable cylinder, each being movable into and out of a selectable area in the rotatable cylinder as a desired item; increasing in size as a graphic image moves toward and into the active area or the selectable area, attaining its largest size in the active area or the selectable area. The present invention relates to an audio processing system and method for automatically adjusting volume. The method includes steps of: calculating a noise level as a reference noise level; periodically calculating a new noise level of a predetermined time period, and dividing the reference noise level by the new noise level to obtain a ratio; sampling digital audio signals generated by a decoding unit to obtain a plurality of amplitude values, periodically calculating an audio energy value of the predetermined time period; multiplying the audio energy value by the ratio to obtain a reference audio energy value; calculating a gain value according to the reference audio energy value and the default gain value; updating the default gain value with the gain value; and signaling the gain amplifier to amplify the analog audio signals received with the gain value, thereby protecting users' hearing.

The present invention relates to a method for hearing protection in an ambient environment of a sound reproduction device, includes steps of: receiving analog audio signals from an audio signal source via a connector; converting the analog audio signals to digital audio signals; sampling the digital audio signals to obtain a plurality of sampled amplitude values; computing an actual audio energy of the digital audio signals within a predetermined time period setting the sampled amplitude values sampled within the predetermined time period as parameters; collecting ambient noises to compute a noise level; obtaining an audio reference energy according to the noise level; comparing the actual audio energy with the audio reference energy; generating a hearing protect signal if the actual audio energy reaches the audio reference energy; and changing a current gain value or emitting reminding information, thus, protecting listeners' hearing. The present invention further provides a corresponding sound reproduction device.

A temperature control method adapted for a projector is provided. The projector includes a power supply unit, a battery, a cooling fan, a temperature detection unit, and a power management unit. The method includes: (a) switching power supply from the power supply unit to the battery, thereby maintaining a normal operation of the cooling fan and the temperature detection unit, when detecting a power outage of the power supply unit; (b) detecting a temperature of the projector; and (c) stopping supplying power to the projector, when the detected temperature of the projector reaches a predetermined value.
