Abstract:
An air conditioner is provided that may include at least one compressor that compresses a refrigerant to a high pressure; a plurality of heat exchanger that condenses the refrigerant compressed in the at least one compressor; a plurality of outdoor valves, respectively, provided at an outlet side pipe of the plurality of heat exchangers; a gas liquid separator that separates the refrigerant into gas and liquid refrigerants and supplies the gas refrigerant to the at least one compressor; and one or more bypass devices connected to the outlet side pipe of one or more of the plurality of heat exchangers and an inlet side pipe of the gas liquid separator, the one or more bypass devices controlling a flow of the liquid refrigerant. During a cooling low load operation in which a portion of the plurality of heat exchangers is operating, a liquid refrigerant loaded into a heat exchanger of the plurality of heat exchangers, which is not operated, may flow through the one or more bypass device.
Abstract:
An accumulator and an air conditioner having the same are provided. The air conditioner may include at least one indoor unit connected to an outdoor unit, the outdoor unit including a compressor compressing refrigerant and an accumulator transferring gas refrigerant into the compressor. The accumulator may include a housing, an inflow tube guiding refrigerant into the housing through a guide tube, and a discharge tube discharging the refrigerant from the housing. A portion of the guide tube protrudes out of the housing, and a distance between the discharge tube and a bottom of the housing is greater than that between the protruded portion of the guide tube and the bottom of the housing.
Abstract:
An outdoor unit of an air conditioner is disclosed. The outdoor unit of the air conditioner includes an outdoor unit body, a printed circuit board having a heat generating element installed thereat, an electronic box mounted in the outdoor unit body, the electronic box having the printed circuit board installed therein, a heat dissipation module contacting the heat generating element, the heat dissipation module allowing refrigerant to flow therethrough, and a heat dissipation module support mounted in the outdoor unit body such that the heat dissipation module is fixed to the heat dissipation module support to support the heat dissipation module. Shaking of the heat dissipation module can be minimized when the electronic box is separated, thereby improving reliability of the heat dissipation module.
Abstract:
An outdoor unit for an air conditioner may include a case, a controller disposed in the case, a coupling member configured to connect the case to the controller, and a cooling pipe coupled to one side of the controller so as to perform heat-exchange with the controller. The controller may include a first controller connected to the coupling member so as to be rotatably coupled to the case, and a second controller coupled to the cooling pipe so as to be fixedly installed inside of the case.
Abstract:
An air conditioner and a fluid filling method for an air conditioner are provided. The method may include operating, by the air conditioner, in a fluid supply mode, to fill a group of pipes with a fluid, such as water, determining whether an amount of the fluid in the group of pipes is appropriate while continuously filling the group of pipes with the fluid, and outputting, by an output device, information indicating that filling of the fluid has been completed when it is determined that the amount of the fluid is appropriate. The fluid supply mode may include a first fluid supply mode in which fluid is supplied while the outdoor unit is stopped, and a second fluid supply mode in which the fluid is supplied while the outdoor unit is operated.

Abstract:
An air conditioner and a control method for an air conditioner are provided. The air conditioner may include a compressor, a flow switch installed at an outlet side of the compressor, a first guide pipe extending from the flow switch to an outdoor heat exchanger, a second guide pipe extending from the flow switch to an indoor unit, a third guide pipe extending from the outdoor heat exchanger to the indoor unit, a bypass passage extending from the second guide pipe to the third guide pipe to allow at least a portion of the refrigerant in the second guide pipe to be bypassed to the third guide pipe or to allow at least a portion of the refrigerant in the third guide pipe to be bypassed to the second guide pipe, and a bypass valve installed on the bypass passage.
Abstract:
An air conditioner is provided. The air conditioner includes a compressor for compressing a refrigerant, an oil separator for separating an oil of the refrigerant discharged from the compressor to collect the separated oil into the compressor, a condenser for condensing the refrigerant separated from the oil separator, and a supercooling part in which a main refrigerant that is the refrigerant condensed by the condenser is heat-exchanged with a branch refrigerant branched from the main refrigerant. At least a portion of the oil collected into the compressor passes through the supercooling part.
