Abstract: A mobile terminal and a method for configuring a screen of the mobile terminal are discussed. According to an embodiment, the method includes collecting status information and usage information of the mobile terminal while menus displayed on the screen of the mobile terminal are used, forming a menu usage pattern based on at least one of the status information and the usage information, and selectively changing, based on at least the menu usage pattern, at least one display configuration of menus to be displayed on the screen when the screen is idle.
