Discussed is a mobile terminal, including a touch screen configured to display visual information, a camera unit configured to detect user's gaze information and a controller configured to execute an application in response to a user input, wherein an execution screen of the application is displayed on the touch screen, detect the user's gaze information, and stop displaying the execution screen of the application based on an elapsed time from when the user's gaze information is not detected, wherein the elapsed time is varied based on a type of the application.

The mobile terminal according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include an input unit configured to receive a user input; an execution controller configured to execute screen lock if the user input is not received for a predetermined time T1; and a change controller configured to change the predetermined time T1 based on the user's gaze information.

A method for configuring a screen of a mobile terminal comprising collecting usage information of the mobile terminal, based on at least one of location information and time information of the mobile terminal; forming a usage pattern based on the usage information of the mobile terminal; receiving a request for displaying an idle screen; displaying on the idle screen at least one icon or widget based on the usage pattern; receiving a command for deleting an icon or widget among the at least one icon or widget included in the idle screen; and changing a configuration of the idle screen to exclude the icon or widget from the idle screen in response to the command for deleting the icon or widget. Further, the icon or widget is replaced with a new icon or widget that has a highest frequency of use in a current context, the new icon or widget having the highest frequency is determined using current status information and the usage pattern, and the new icon or widget has not been displayed before the icon or widget is deleted.

A mobile terminal and a method for configuring a screen of the mobile terminal are discussed. According to an embodiment, the method includes collecting status information and usage information of the mobile terminal while menus displayed on the screen of the mobile terminal are used, forming a menu usage pattern based on at least one of the status information and the usage information, and selectively changing, based on at least the menu usage pattern, at least one display configuration of menus to be displayed on the screen when the screen is idle.

A mobile terminal and controlling method thereof are disclosed, which facilitates a terminal to be used in further consideration of user's convenience. The present invention includes a display, a memory configured to store at least one image fragment, a 1st camera, and a controller, if the 1st camera is activated, displaying a preview screen of an image received from the 1st camera, the controller controlling the display to display a prescribed one of the stored at least one image fragment on a prescribed region of the preview screen. Accordingly, when a photo is taken using a terminal, a photo-taker can be included in the taken photo in a manner of being synthesized with the corresponding photo.
