Abstract: A scroll compressor is disclosed. The scroll compressor includes a first scroll and a second scroll engaged with the first scroll and configured to perform an orbiting movement. The second scroll forms a compression chamber between the first scroll and the second scroll. The scroll compressor includes a frame positioned opposite the first scroll with the second scroll interposed therebetween. The scroll compressor also includes an oldham ring that has an annular ring portion and a key portion protruding from the ring portion. The key portion is slidably coupled to a key groove provided in the frame or in the second scroll to allow the second scroll to perform an orbiting movement with respect to the first scroll. The scroll compressor also include a reinforcing member coupled to the key portion. The reinforcing member is positioned between the key groove and the key portion.

A pocket groove configured to guide oil discharged through the oil hole to the medium pressure chamber may be formed in an upper surface of the orbiting scroll, and a differential pressure path configured to guide the oil guided to the medium pressure chamber to the compression chamber may be provided in the fixed scroll.

Abstract: A scroll compressor is disclosed. The scroll compressor may include a suction guide between a refrigerant suction pipe and a high/low pressure separation plate, and the suction guide may be fastened to a non-orbiting scroll or inserted into a suction guide protrusion that extends from the non-orbiting scroll. Accordingly, suction refrigerant may be partially suctioned into a compression chamber by the suction guide in advance before moving to the high/low pressure separation plate, so as to be prevented from coming into contact with the high/low pressure separation plate, while the suction refrigerant may also partially flow toward a drive motor without being suctioned directly into the compression chamber, so as to cool the drive motor, whereby efficiency of the compressor may be improved and an operation range of the compressor may be expanded.

Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may include an orbiting scroll having an orbiting wrap, and which performs an orbiting motion; and a fixed scroll having a fixed wrap to form a compression chamber including a suction chamber, an intermediate pressure chamber, and a discharge chamber, by being engaged with the orbiting wrap. In a state in which the orbiting scroll and the fixed scroll are concentric with each other, when a distance between the orbiting wrap and the fixed wrap is defined as an orbiting radius, there exists an offset section having an interval larger than the orbiting radius, between a side surface of the orbiting wrap and a side surface of the fixed wrap which faces the orbiting wrap. With such a configuration, even if the fixed scroll or the orbiting scroll is transformed due to thermal expansion, interference between the fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap at a portion having a large transformation amount may be prevented. This may prevent a frictional loss or abrasion between the fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap. Further, this may restrict or minimize a gap between the fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap at an opposite side to the suction chamber, resulting in enhanced compression efficiency.
