    Abstract: A ventilation apparatus includes a housing having an outdoor air inlet, an outdoor air outlet, an indoor air inlet, and an indoor air outlet; a total heat exchange element in the housing, the total heat exchange element having four side edges; four partition walls connecting the four side edges of the total heat exchange element to four side surfaces of the housing to divide the housing into an outdoor air inlet space, an outdoor air discharge space, an indoor air inlet space, and an indoor air discharge space; an outdoor air discharge guide duct; an indoor air inlet guide duct; and a bypass duct branching from the indoor air inlet guide duct to bypass the total heat exchange element, the bypass duct extending to the indoor air discharge space. Indoor air introduced through the outdoor air inlet selectively passes through the total heat exchange element according to an operation mode.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a gas furnace and an air conditioner having the same. The gas furnace includes: a burner for burning fuel; a manifold providing the fuel to an entry of the burner; a heat exchanger spaced apart from an exit of the burner and providing a passage for combustion gas generated by the burner; an inducer for causing a fluid to flow through the burner and the heat exchanger; a blower for causing a flow of air passing around the heat exchanger; and an air shutter positioned between the manifold and the entry of the burner. The air shutter includes: a housing having an inner space that communicates with the manifold and the entry of the burner; and a primary hole formed to penetrate the housing and able to be opened and closed.

In this case, the mixer has a front end connected to the intake pipe, a rear end connected to the mixing pipe, and a side surface connected to the manifold.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a gas furnace including a mixer configured to mix air and fuel gas introduced from an intake pipe and a manifold respectively so as to produce an air-fuel mixture, a mixing pipe configured to allow the air-fuel mixture having passed through the mixer to flow therein, a burner assembly configured to combust the air-fuel mixture having passed through the mixing pipe so as to generate combustion gas, heat exchangers configured to allow the combustion gas to flow therein, an exhaust pipe configured to discharge exhaust gas, which is the combustion gas having passed through the heat exchangers, to the outside. The gas furnace further includes a recirculator installed around the exhaust pipe and configured to guide a portion of the exhaust gas flowing in the exhaust pipe to the mixer, and may thus greatly reduce or fundamentally block NOx emissions.
