    Abstract: A rotary compressor is disclosed. The rotary compressor may include a casing, a cylinder, main and sub bearings, a rotational shaft, a roller, at least one vane, and a vane support portion that axially supports the at least one vane formed on a bearing surface to extend along a reciprocating direction of the at least one vane from an inner circumferential surface of at least one back pressure pocket at an end of circumferential ends of the at least one back pressure pocket, adjacent to a contact point, and/or protrude axially from the inner circumferential surface of the at least one back pressure pocket and extend in a circumferential direction. This may secure a wide axial support area for a rear end of the at least one vane passing the contact point and/or near the contact point, to suppress or prevent axial tilting of the at least one vane, thereby reducing friction loss, wear, and vibration noise due to the axial tilting of the at least one vane during operation of the compressor.

    Abstract: A rotary compressor may include a casing, a cylinder, a main bearing, a sub bearing, a rotational shaft, a roller having at least one vane slot and a back pressure chamber, and at least one vane. The roller may include at least one spring insertion groove formed in an inner end portion of the at least one vane slot in a lengthwise direction of the at least one vane slot, and a vane spring that supports a rear surface of the vane toward an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder may be disposed in the at least one spring insertion groove. Accordingly, elastic force may be supplied to the rear surface of the vane, to suppress or prevent trembling of the vane caused while the vane passes through a proximal portion during operation.

    Abstract: A hermetic compressor includes a casing, a cylinder in the casing, a first bearing and a second bearing defining a compression space together with the cylinder, a roller located at an eccentric position with respect to an inner surface of the cylinder and configured to vary a volume of the compression space, and a vane inserted into the roller to rotate together with the roller, and drawn out toward the inner surface of the cylinder to divide the compression space into compression chambers. An inlet port in communication with the compression space is defined in the first bearing, and an intermediate plate is located between the cylinder and the inlet port and defines a suction passage connected to the inlet port, where a peripheral length of an inner peripheral surface of the suction passage is greater than a peripheral length of an outer peripheral surface of the suction passage.

    Abstract: A rotary compressor is provided that may include a rotational shaft including at least one protrusion formed on an outer peripheral surface, first and second bearings configured to support the rotational shaft in a radial direction, a cylinder disposed between the first and second bearings to form a compression space, a rotor disposed in the compression space and coupled to the rotational shaft to compress a refrigerant as the rotor rotates, and at least one vane slidably inserted into the rotor, the at least one vane coming into contact with an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder to separate the compression space into a plurality of regions. The rotor may include at least one groove which is formed on an inner peripheral surface and faces the at least one protrusion.
