    Abstract: A rotary compressor is provided that may include a casing having an oil storage space; a cylinder; a main bearing and a sub bearing; a rotary shaft; a roller having a vane slot and a back pressure chamber; and at least one vane. An oil supply hole that communicates the back pressure chamber with the oil storage space may pass through the main bearing or the sub bearing, or through the roller. Accordingly, as high-pressure oil is supplied directly to a rear end surface of the vane, it is possible to increase efficiency of the compressor by increasing a back pressure on the vane and suppressing a delay in starting the compressor, and it is also possible to reduce collision noise and wear in the vane and the cylinder by suppressing vibration of the vane.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a two-stage rotary compressor in which refrigerant inhaled into a compression space of a cylinder is compressed sequentially in two axially connected compression chambers and then is discharged. A rotary compressor according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a first compression unit and a second compression unit arranged on and along a single rotation shaft. Middle-pressure refrigerant discharged from the first compression unit flows into the second compression unit. A maximum gas force of the first compression unit and a maximum gas force of the second compression unit counteract with each other, thereby reducing a reaction force acting on a rotation shaft. According to the present disclosure, a single rotary compressor is configured to separately achieve the stroke volume increase and the compression period increase.

    Abstract: A rotary compressor may include a case, a cylinder, a roller, a vane, a main bearing and a sub bearing, and a discharge passage defined in the main bearing or the sub bearing to discharge refrigerant compressed in a compression space. The discharge passage may include at least one discharge hole formed through the main bearing or the sub bearing, and at least one discharge guide groove having a first end that communicates with the at least one discharge hole and a second end that extends from the at least one discharge hole toward a contact point between the cylinder and the roller and is recessed from one surface of the main bearing or the sub bearing forming the compression space. Accordingly, an amount of refrigerant remaining in the compression space even after a discharge stroke may be reduced.

    Abstract: A rotary compressor is disclosed. A back pressure pocket among a plurality of back pressure pockets closest to a discharge port disposed in at least one of main bearing or sub bearing is radially spaced from an inner circumferential surface of a bearing hole, and communicates with an inner space of a casing through a back pressure passage formed through at least one of the main bearing or the sub bearing. Accordingly, the back pressure pocket closest to the discharge port may strongly support a vane passing near a reference point toward a cylinder while forming a discharge pressure, or a super discharge pressure higher than the discharge pressure. This may suppress or prevent chattering of the vane near the reference point to reduce vibration noise while suppressing or preventing wear between the vane and the cylinder to enhance compression efficiency. This may also suppress or prevent leakage between compression chambers, thereby preventing delay of initial startup of the compressor.

    Abstract: The present disclosure may provide a compressor in which an outer circumferential side cross-sectional area of a vane slot is formed to be smaller than an inner circumferential side cross-sectional area thereof to decrease an area receiving a force in a roller direction by a vane so as to reduce a contact force between the roller and the vane, and a gas accommodation portion capable of selectively forming a suction pressure and an intermediate pressure is formed between the vane and the vane slot to appropriately control a contact force between the vane and the roller, and a contact surface of the vane facing the roller is broadly formed at a side of a compression chamber to appropriately reduce a contact force between the roller and the vane, and a space portion forming a discharge pressure is formed at least either one side of a side surface of the vane and a cylinder corresponding thereto to decrease a side directional reaction force applied to the vane, thereby reducing a mechanical friction loss between the vane and the cylinder.
