    摘要: A method, system, and medium are provided for adaptively providing network access to mobile devices. The mobile devices have a first interface for a wireless access network and a second interface for a personal area network. The wireless access network connects the mobile devices to a base station, and the personal area network connects the mobile device to other mobile devices that are part of the personal area network. Wireless access conditions are generated by the base station and communicated over the wireless access network to mobile devices that generate network access requests. Additionally, the mobile devices may transmit the wireless access conditions over the personal are network to other mobile devices that are within a predetermined distance. The mobile devices detect that the wireless access conditions in the wireless access network have degraded and adaptively select alternate routes to complete the network access requests.

    摘要: In a wireless communication device, first micro-processing circuitry drives a user interface and drives a wireless transceiver to exchange IP communications. A detection system detects a malicious condition related to the IP communications and responsively generates a circuit transfer signal. Switching circuitry de-couples the first micro-processing circuitry from the user interface and from the wireless transceiver responsive to the circuit transfer signal. Second micro-processing circuitry then drives the user interface and drives the wireless transceiver to exchange non-IP communications.

    摘要: Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods that allow a mobile device to fully access unified communication services. In a particular embodiment, a mobile device receives a user input indicating a destination identifier for a call and processes the destination identifier to determine whether the destination identifier is associated with a unified communication service. If no, the mobile device connects the call. If yes, the mobile device generates and transfers a text message indicating that the mobile device is requesting the service to an intermediate communication system in a first carrier network. The intermediate system receives and processes the text message to determine a first portion of the service that is associated with the mobile device. The intermediate system initiates the call to the mobile device to connect the mobile device with a unified communication system via the intermediate system and provides the first portion of the service.

In a particular embodiment, a control system receives a call for a unified communications service and determines whether the mobile device is associated with the unified communication service. If the mobile device is not associated with the unified communication service, then the call is connected to a unified communication system to provide access to a first portion of the unified communication service. If the call is associated with the services, then the call is assigned a virtual number and connected to an intermediate communication system, which determines at least a second portion of the unified communication service associated with the virtual number. The call is then connected to the unified communication system to provide access to the first and second portions of the unified communication service.

In response to putting the first voice call in the on-hold state, a first data communication is transferred for delivery to the communication device. The first data communication drives the communication device to display an offer for a media service. A second data communication transferred by the communication device is received indicating that the offer has been accepted. The first data communication drives the communication device, in response to the acceptance of the offer, to transfer the second data communication and to retrieve media from the media service. The first voice call is terminated in response to receiving the second data communication. A second voice call is established with the communication device in response to the resource becoming available.

    摘要: A communication device has a data application and a voice application. The device establishes a data session between the data application and a data system. During the data session, the device receives a voice session request from a voice communication system, and in response, alerts the user of the request. The device receives a user acceptance of the voice session request, and in response, transfers a voice session acceptance indication from the voice application to the data application and tracks elapsed time since the user acceptance. The communication device transfers a voice session acceptance from the voice application to the voice communication system if the voice application receives a data application ready indication from the data application or if the elapsed time since the user acceptance reaches a set time period, whichever occurs first.
