A method, system, and medium are provided for adaptively providing network access to mobile devices. The mobile devices have a first interface for a wireless access network and a second interface for a personal area network. The wireless access network connects the mobile devices to a base station, and the personal area network connects the mobile device to other mobile devices that are part of the personal area network. Wireless access conditions are generated by the base station and communicated over the wireless access network to mobile devices that generate network access requests. Additionally, the mobile devices may transmit the wireless access conditions over the personal are network to other mobile devices that are within a predetermined distance. The mobile devices detect that the wireless access conditions in the wireless access network have degraded and adaptively select alternate routes to complete the network access requests.

A detection system detects a malicious condition related to the IP communications and responsively generates a circuit transfer signal. Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods that allow a mobile device to fully access unified communication services. In a particular embodiment, a mobile device receives a user input indicating a destination identifier for a call and processes the destination identifier to determine whether the destination identifier is associated with a unified communication service. If no, the mobile device connects the call. If yes, the mobile device generates and transfers a text message indicating that the mobile device is requesting the service to an intermediate communication system in a first carrier network. The intermediate system receives and processes the text message to determine a first portion of the service that is associated with the mobile device. The intermediate system initiates the call to the mobile device to connect the mobile device with a unified communication system via the intermediate system and provides the first portion of the service.
