Abstract: Monitoring systems and methods for identifying an object of interest after the object of interest has undergone a change in appearance. One example provides an image sensor is configured to monitor a first area. A first electronic processor is configured to detect a first appearance of an object of interest within the first area, and determine a visual characteristic of the object of interest. The first electronic processor is configured to receive a first notification indicative of movement of the object of interest into a second area and an access input, and associate the visual characteristic of the object of interest with the access input. The first electronic processor is configured to detect a second appearance of the object of interest within the first area, and update the visual characteristic of the object of interest based on the second appearance of the object of interest.

Abstract: Methods and systems for authenticating a user. One system includes a camera and an authentication computer. The authentication computer is configured to receive an image of a user captured by the camera, determine, based on the image, a constraint of the user impacting an availability of a part of the user's body for use in authenticating the user, and determine, based on the constraint of the user, an action to be performed by the user. The authentication computer is also configured to transmit data to a user device worn by the user, the data usable by the user device to output instructions to the user to perform the action, and, in response to detecting the action performed by the user, authenticating the user to use a resource.

Abstract: A device, system and method for managing talkgroups is provided. A computing device determines that a communication device is communicating with a talkgroup via a first communication network, the talkgroup dominated by other communication devices communicating on one or more second communication networks different from the first communication network. The computing device determines a level of activity of the communication device in the talkgroup via the first communication network. When the level of activity meets a threshold condition, the computing device: requests a confirmation from the communication device to cease communication with the talkgroup; and when the confirmation is received, drops the communication device from the talkgroup.

Abstract: Methods and systems for consent based information sharing. One system includes a server including an electronic processor configured to receive a first set of parsed communication data for a first talkgroup and a second set of parsed communication data for a second talkgroup. The electronic processor is configured to determine a topic of interest of the first talkgroup. The electronic processor is configured to identify relevant communication data from the second set of parsed communication data, where the relevant communication data is relevant to the topic of interest. The electronic processor is configured to determine whether the relevant communication data is shareable. The electronic processor is configured to, in response to determining that the relevant communication data is not shareable, request consent from the first talkgroup and the second talkgroup to share the relevant communication data, and, in response to receiving consent, enable sharing of the relevant communication data.

A media stream from a mobile device is received at a communications network. The media stream being streamed from the mobile device to a social media platform in a first format. A request from a Public Safety Access Point to stream the media from the mobile device in a second format is received at the communications network. A request is sent to the mobile device to send the media stream in the second format. The media stream received from the mobile device in the second format is converted to the first format. The media stream received in the second format is sent to the Public Safety Access Point. The converted media stream in the first format is sent to the social media platform.

Abstract: A process for recognizing and responding to a detected audio inquiry by gathering information distributed amongst users and providing a calculated result includes monitoring audio communications and detecting an audio inquiry from a first electronic communication device. It is determined then the audio inquiry is of a distributed information gathering and mathematical operation type and, in response, a plurality of target electronic communication devices that are capable of providing partial answers to the audio inquiry are identified and a request for a partial answer transmitted to each. Corresponding partial answers are received and a mathematical operation performed on the partial answers to generate a final answer to the audio inquiry different from the corresponding partial answers. The final answer is then provided to the first electronic communication device.
