摘要： A film image reproducing apparatus for reproducing a film image of each frame of a film, includes: an image pick up device which picks up a film image; a reproducer which is operable to reproduce specified areas of the picked up film image; an information reader which reads information recorded on the film concerning the orientation of the film image; a reproducing direction designator which designates a reproducing direction of images in the areas; and a controller which controls the reproducer based on the read information and the designated reproducing direction so as to reproduce the image areas in the designated reproducing direction while keeping an image in each image area in a specified reference orientation irrespective of the direction of the film image on the film. This apparatus can constantly move an image in a designated direction regardless of the orientation of the film image.

摘要： A camera equipped with detectors for detecting: a) the photographer is holding the camera grip, and b) the photographer is looking into the viewfinder of the camera. When both are detected, which can be assumed that he is taking a photograph in the near future, a predetermined operation of the camera (e.g., an automatic program zooming, an autofocusing, a photometering, etc.) is started. The detectors can also be used for ending a predetermined operation of the camera. When the photographer no longer holds the grip or when he no longer looks into the viewfinder, it is assumed that he is not going to take a photograph and hence it is better not to continue some proper operation for conserving the battery power. For confirming the judgment, it is preferred to check the detection twice in any case.

摘要： A photographed image reproducing apparatus is used to reproduce photographic images recorded on successive frames of a film having magnetic tracks on which information is writable for each frame. The apparatus includes a read/write device for reading or writing frame information on the magnetic track. The frame information is read or written in one transporting direction while the image is sensed in the other transporting direction. Also, an information reader is provided at an upstream portion while the information writer is provided at a downstream portion to enable the reading and writing to be executed at the same time. The apparatus considerably reduces the reproduction time.

摘要： A camera capable of identifying photographing conditions causative of red-eye effect making the eyes of human pictures in a flash-photographed picture come out red, and recording the identified photographing conditions in an external memory provided on a film cartridge loaded thereon. The camera recognizes the possibility of occurrence of red-eye effect on the basis of the focal length of the camera lens, the object distance, the distance between the optical axis of the camera lens and the light source of the flash light device and the object brightness. When the photographing conditions are identified to be causative of red-eye effect, a warning is displayed and flash photographing is forbidden. When photographing operation is carried out under photographing conditions liable to cause red-eye effect, information about the exposed film including the photographing conditions is recorded in the external memory to enable the subsequent developing and printing processes to correct the photograph with reference to the information.

When a developed film is fed in an inlet of the picture reproducing unit in a prescribed direction, a scan mirror scans a picture provided on the film perpendicularly to the feed direction, so that a line sensor takes the picture every line. The line sensor and the scan mirror read two-dimensional pictures provided on the film. When the picture of the frame previously read is on display, the scan of the next frame is effected.
