摘要： A liquid ejecting method for ejecting liquid by generation of a bubble includes preparing a head comprising an ejection outlet for ejecting the liquid, a bubble generation region for generating the bubble in the liquid, a movable member having a fulcrum and a free end portion; and displacing the free end of the movable member by pressure produced by the generation of the bubble in the bubble generating portion wherein the free end of the movable member is restrained from entering the bubble generation region beyond a first position which is taken by the free end of the movable member before generation of the bubble.

摘要： A method to produce a liquid ejecting head having an ejection outlet for ejecting a liquid, a heat generating element for applying thermal energy to the liquid, a liquid flow path comprised of a first path portion in fluid communication with the ejection outlet and a second path portion disposed below the first path portion and provided with the heat generating element in a bottom surface thereof, a partition wall for partitioning the liquid flow path into the first path portion and second path portion, and a movable member disposed above the heat generating element in the portion wall and arranged as displaceable to a side of the first path portion in accordance with a bubble generated in the liquid by the thermal energy in which upon generation of the bubble the first path portion and the second path portion are in fluid communication with each other and the pressure is directed toward said ejection outlet by the movable member displaced to eject the liquid droplet. The method comprises a step of preparing a substrate provided with the heat generating element, a step of forming a grooved partition wall having the movable member and side walls of the second path portion, and a step of joining the grooved partition wall to the substrate to form the second path portion.

摘要： A liquid ejecting method includes providing a substrate having a heat generating surface for generating heat for generating a bubble in liquid; providing a movable member having a free end; providing an ejection outlet for ejecting the liquid using the generation of the bubble, the ejection outlet being opposed to the substrate with the movable member interposed therebetween; disposing the free end of the movable member at a downstream side with respect to a direction of flow of the liquid to the ejection outlet; and wherein the bubble displaces the free end of the movable member, and grows toward the ejection outlet to eject the liquid.

摘要： A liquid ejecting head for a liquid ejecting apparatus for performing a recording operation by ejecting liquid from the liquid ejecting head includes as essential components a base plate having a plurality of liquid ejecting elements, and a grooved member having a plurality of grooves formed thereon corresponding to the liquid ejecting elements. The grooved member is connected to the base plate and composed of a grooved element and a supporting member. A liquid ejecting apparatus operable for performing a recording operation includes as essential components a liquid ejecting head of the foregoing type and a signal supplying unit for supplying,a series of signals to the liquid ejecting head for activating a plurality of liquid ejecting elements. A method of producing a liquid ejecting head of the foregoing type is practices by way of the steps of preparing a base plate having a plurality of liquid ejecting elements, forming a, plurality,of supporting portions on a supporting member, forming a grooves member including a grooved element, and then connecting the grooved element to a resin member constituting a part of the grooved member via the supporting portions.

摘要： An ink container includes a casing, an air vent which is located in the casing, an ink supply opening for supplying ink out of the casing, and an ink absorbing material that is contained in the casing. The ink absorbing material retains ink therein, and has a generally rectangular parallelopipedal shape defined by sides of the ink absorbing material, and also has an ink supply portion for supplying ink to the ink supply opening. The ink absorbing material includes corner portions which are located between adjacent sides of the ink absorbing material. A preventing means prevents complete surface contact between the casing and said ink absorbing material by providing spaces between the casing and ink absorbing material which are in fluid communication with each other with a given space that is adjacent to a particular one of the corner portions that is most remote from the ink supply portion. The air vent is in fluid communication with the spaces.
