摘要： A syringe includes a cylindrical body having a distal end and a proximal end, an injection section at the distal end and an expansion section at the proximal end, the injection section and the expansion section being connected by a cylindrical center section of relatively uniform outer diameter. The injection section includes a conical portion and an injection neck, the conical portion including an alignment flange extending outward from at least a portion of the conical portion. The syringe further includes a plunger movably received in the body and having a coupling end with a pair of flexible coupling members defining a slot therebetween for engaging a drive piston of an injector, the slot being substantially aligned with the alignment flange such that the alignment flange provides an indication of the orientation of the slot, the plunger seated for storage in the expansion section. A syringe has a reduced wall thickness at the expansion section such that an inner diameter of the expansion section is larger than the inner diameter of the center section for allowing the expansion section to expand under radial outward force exerted by the plunger.

摘要： A syringe includes a body having a distal end, a proximal end and a center section therebetween. The distal end of the syringe body includes a conical portion that extends and tapers from the center section to an injection neck forming a discharge outlet. The proximal end of the syringe body includes a radial expansion section and an outward extending lip. An inner diameter of the radial expansion section is larger than an inner diameter of the center section and the outer diameter of the radial expansion section is smaller than an outer diameter of the center section. A plunger is movably disposed in the syringe body and includes a pair of coupling members defining a slot therebetween, the plunger being substantially seated in the radial expansion section in a pre-use state of the syringe. An alignment flange is formed on the conical portion and extends the distance between the center section and the injection neck. The alignment flange defines an internal hollow area therein in fluid communication with the interior of the syringe body, which is adapted to collect air bubbles that are present within the interior of the syringe body.

摘要： A fluid path for use in a fluid delivery system is described. The fluid path may have a connecter member having a lumen, a luer member connected to the lumen, and an annular member around the luer member. The fluid path may further have a check valve in the lumen to limit fluid flow in one direction. The check valve may have a deformable stopper element and a retaining sleeve disposed in the lumen of the connecter member. The retaining sleeve may have a central bore and a distal end against which the stopper element sits to prevent fluid flow through the lumen until a sufficient fluid pressure is present to deform the stopper element and unseat the stopper from the retaining sleeve. One or more grooves may be present in the receiving cavity. The fluid path may further have a drip chamber, a second tubing section, and a spike.

摘要： A fluid delivery system which includes a pressurizing device for delivering injection fluid under pressure, a low pressure fluid delivery system, and a pressure isolation mechanism. The pressure isolation mechanism includes a valve housing having a first port associated with the pressurizing device, a second port associated with the low pressure fluid delivery system, an outlet port associated with a patient, and a pressure isolation port for connection with a pressure transducer. A first valve in a normally open position permits fluid communication between the first port and the second port and is movable to a closed position when fluid pressure in the first port increases to a predetermined pressure level. The first valve isolates the pressure isolation port from the first port when in the closed position. A second valve is associated with the second port and regulates fluid flow through the second port.

A connector removably connects the first and second sections. The connector further includes a second connector member having a second luer member and a second annular member disposed about the second luer member. A check valve arrangement is disposed in of one of the first and second connector members for limiting fluid flow to one direction through the connector. The first and second annular members are adapted to operably engage to securely and releasably connect the first and second connector members.
