Abstract: A generally rectangular housing base or body portion has an upward-opening central cavity and mounting ears extending from each corner. A wiring board on which electronic circuit components are mounted is supported in the cavity of the base. Each end portion of the wiring board extends from the cavity between two of the mounting ears. The top of the cavity is closed by a lid to enclose the circuit components. The opposite ends of the wiring board projecting from the housing cavity are adapted for connection of different pin or stud terminal connectors so that the housing-board unit is capable of being easily joined to or arranged with other electrical parts or units.

Abstract: The window shade track hook carrier includes a body of plastic, metal, ceramic or the like which is adapted to slide or roll freely in a shade track and bear a depending shade hook which is adapted to extend out of an opening in the bottom or side of the track. The carrier body has a window shade cord passageway extending longitudinally therethrough for holding such cord in the track. The track passageway is preferably lined with slippery plastic, smooth metal or the like low friction material to reduce abrasion of the cord and facilitate relative movement of the carrier and cord in the track. In one embodiment the body has a pair of body-centering rotatable wheels of plastic or the like disposed on opposite sides of the body. In another embodiment, the body has a pair of low friction skids on opposite sides of the body. In a third embodiment, the body is cylindrical and solid, with a low friction exterior, curved sidewalls and flat front and rear. The carrier provides improved performance and protection of the window shade cord.

Abstract: A device is described suitable for harvesting peppers and other vegetables which grow on short bushes or vines close to the ground. Thus, a pepper picker sits on the seat in close proximity to the plants, while the device is in straddle position relative to the row. The pickers then are able to select the ripe fruits from the bush leaving the half-ripe or green fruit to mature further. A pair of belt conveyors are diagonally disposed with the inlet portion directly in front of the seat to a discharge portion near the top for discharge into a receptacle. Due to the extremely low profile of the device, the center of gravity is low so that the device can be used in rocky and hilly terrain. Further, through the means of the lift on the tractor, the device can be raised or lowered, depending upon the height of the plants, fulcruming around the axle of the wheel in the extreme rear of the device. Thus, the device can be lowered or raised so as to compensate for lower or taller plants. Because of the small size, the low profile and the extreme maneuverability of the device, the peppers or other fruits can be harvested with essentially no damage to the crop.

Abstract: A method of handover from an active network to a selected one of a plurality of potential other networks is provided. For example, the method may comprise scanning an area for all available networks within the area by a current active mobile communication network, storing a list of plurality of network identifiers and corresponding cell information based upon the scanning, receiving a signal from a user equipment, determining a signal level of the signal received from the user equipment; and transmitting a first message including a first list including the list of the plurality of network identifiers stored to the user equipment based upon the determined signal level. The transmitting of the first message occurs without the user equipment searching said mobile communication network. The list includes all of the available networks within the area. Also provided are user equipment and a mobile communication network for performing handover.

Abstract: The invention provides a method of handover from an active network to a selected one of a plurality of potential other networks. In addition to the overall solution, the solution proposed has several individual aspects. All subsidiary aspects are related to the common problem mentioned above and sharing the underlying common solution concept of implementing a system in which selective handover is possible and in which a list of available other networks provided by an active network can be handled and selection made by a terminal, so that neighbor cell information can be transmitted based on expressed terminal preferences.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for combining advertising messages with short message service (SMS) messages in a wireless communications system. A signaling message processing and routing node transmits and receives short message service (SMS) data packets via a communications network. The routing node includes an SMS message processing module that determines whether an SMS message should be modified to include advertisements. SMS messages, whether modified or left unmodified, are forwarded to a destination mobile communications device. The SMS message processing module applies rules to match selected advertisements with the SMS message. The determination of whether to modify the SMS message to include a selected advertisement is based on a variety of considerations including: the content and format of the SMS message; the content and format of the advertisements; the communications and display characteristics of the destination mobile communications device; and the limitations of the channel used to communicate the message to the destination mobile communications device.

Abstract: Information for configuring control apparatus for a power system including a plurality of controlled power supplies is produced using a graphical interface which displays the topology and sequencing of the power supplies in the power system. A database is used to select power supplies to add in determining the power system topology. Sequencing is represented by displacing icons representing the power supplies along lines representing their input and output voltages, and arrows representing startup sequence dependencies. A processor produces the configuration information, consistent with the displayed topology and sequencing, using information for the selected power supplies from the database, for downloading to the control apparatus.
