    摘要: A card edge connector is provided for mounting to a printed circuit board (PCB). The card edge connector includes a housing having a mating side, a mounting side, and a card slot that extends into the mating side. The card edge connector also includes first and second contacts held by the housing. The first and second contacts include mounting segments that extend outwardly from the mounting side of the housing. The mounting segments include mounting interfaces. The mounting segments of the first and second contacts are configured to be electrically connected to corresponding contact pads on the PCB at the mounting interfaces. The mounting interface of the first contact is offset from the mounting interface of the second contact in a direction generally away from mounting side of the housing.

    摘要: A straddle mount connector includes a housing that has a mating end and a mounting end configured to be mounted to an edge of a circuit board. Contacts are held by the housing with the contacts extending from the mounting end that are configured to be terminated to the circuit board. The contacts are arranged at the mating end and are configured for mating with a corresponding mating component. A comb extends from the mounting end of the housing that has a plurality of fingers separated from one another by a gap. The comb is positioned such that the fingers are positioned between corresponding contacts and the contacts are positioned within corresponding gaps.

    摘要: A low profile, high power electrical connector assembly is disclosed. The connector assembly includes a plug and a receptacle connector designed to be mounted on separate printed circuit boards. The plug and receptacle connectors are designed to be mated and thus allow the separate circuit boards to be electrically connected in tandem in either the same plane or perpendicular to one another. The connector assembly includes a plug contact and a receptacle contact provided with cooling slots and an at least partially open rear face configured to permit the dissipation of heat.

    摘要: A connector assembly is provided with a floatable mounting apparatus formed thereon to enable the connector assembly to correct for misalignment between mounting structures. The connector assembly includes a connector housing having peripheral surfaces with an outer contour shaped to loosely fit in an inner contour of a mounting structure, such as a card, panel, circuit board, bulk head, rack assembly and the like. The connector housing is slidably inserted into the opening through the mounting structure. A chamber is provided in the connector housing adapted to securely retain contacts. At least one latch beam is formed with the connector housing and aligned to engage the mounting structure. A float gap is located between the inner contour of the opening through the mounting structure and the outer contour of the connector housing to enable relative movement therebetween. Guide pins are provided on a receptacle connector and guide pockets are provided on a plug connector to facilitate alignment therebetween during a mating operation. At least one of the receptacle and plug connectors are provided with a pattern of contact receiving cavities therein, in which the cavities are formed in staggered overlapping rows to afford a compact connector envelope while enabling large blades and large wire gauges to be used.
