    摘要: This invention provides a surface fastener of thermoplastic resin comprising, as integrally molded members thereof, a flat substrate and rows of large number of hooks standing from the substrate as engaging members and arranged continuously. The hooks of the surface fastener according to the invention hardly collapse, even if they are very small, and reliably come into engagement with mating loops of a matching surface fastener to provide a satisfactory engaging and peeling strength and a high ratio of engagement. The surface fastener according to the invention can endure repetitive engaging and disengaging operations. Each of the engaging elements has a stem, two or more than two necks extending radially in different directions from the stem and engaging heads substantially linearly extending from the stems in the different directions by way of the respective necks and each of the engaging heads has a cut-out formed at the remote end thereof transversally relative to the extending direction of the engaging head. Additionally, the top of the engaging head is substantially flat and the engaging head is tapered toward the front end thereof.

After a surface fastener is manufactured on a die wheel by continuous injection molding as a primary-intermediate surface fastener, a heating and pressing roller disposed downstream of the die wheel presses the engaging head, while heating, to bend the engaging head from the stem and, at the same time, to form a pair of protuberances projecting in opposite directions from opposite side edges of the top of the engaging head perpendicularly with respect to a direction lengthwise of the engaging head.

    摘要: In a molded surface fastener, a hook has vertical multi-step reinforcing ribs on opposite side surfaces of a stem, and it is therefore possible to make the hook-shape engaging portion adequately soft and to increase the rate of engagement with loops. Further, since each reinforcing rib extends to the curve of the hook-shape engaging portion, it is possible to secure a predetermined degree of engaging force, despite the thin and soft hook-shape engaging portion, unlike the simple reinforcing ribs of the conventional art.

    摘要: In a skidproof device continuously molded of synthetic resin and adapted to be used with a disposable companion sheet product, a multiplicity of skidproof engaging elements are molded on the front surface of a substrate sheet for mating with engaging elements of the companion sheet product. Each skidproof engaging element is composed of a single stem, at least two necks branched and gently sloping upwardly from an upper end of the stem, and at least two heads extending one from an upper end of each neck with an upward gentle slope. Each head has on its top an upwardly convex arcuate surface. Having the differently directed engaging elements, the front surface of this device is smooth in touch and non-directive to give adequate resistance to skidding.

    摘要: There is provided a male engaging member of a surface fastener comprising novel engaging elements that are flexible to a certain extent and highly durable and, at the same time, ensure a certain level of peeling resistance. The engaging elements of such an engaging member stably remain in engagement with piles of a female engaging member coupled with it without unintentionally becoming disengaged from the piles caught by them. The engaging miember comprises a flat substrate sheet, first engaging elements having a stem and an engaging portion disposed at the top thereof and second engaging elements having a column portion and a tilted hitch portion also disposed at the top thereof, the first engaging elements and the second engaging elements being arranged in linear rows independently relative to each other. The height of the second engaging elements as measured from the surface of the substrate sheet to the top thereof is about twice as large as the height of the first engaging elements from the bottom to the top thereof. All the hook-shaped engaging portions and all the tilted hitch portions extend in the same direction in one row, the direction being opposite to the extending direction in adjacent rows.
