Abstract: A system and method for providing information which relates in broadcasting are disclosed. In one aspect, there is a system, which includes: a first data transceiver receiving audio and time information related to the broadcast content from a mobile communication terminal; an information analyser determining a broadcast program containing the audio information, using the audio and time information, and generating the determined broadcast content information extraction command; and a broadcast content information mapper reading broadcast content information related to the determined broadcast program from a database storing the broadcast content information, where the broadcast content provider server provides the read broadcast content information to the mobile communication terminal. In another aspect, a method of receiving broadcast content information includes transmitting audio and time information related to the audio information to the broadcast content provider server, and receiving a broadcast content information from the broadcast content provider server.
