摘要: There are provided a communications method, a communications system, a relay apparatus, and a computer program in which the communication remains stable between a terminal unit such as a mobile IP telephone and the relay apparatus used as an access point in the streaming communication service such as IP telephone in a wireless LAN environment when the condition of communication is unfavorable. The relay apparatus (1) is arranged to, when a desired amount of data for the streaming service is transmitted to each of the terminal units (2) over a communication bandwidth assigned to the terminal unit (2) at a communication speed predetermined for the terminal unit (2), modify the communication speed to the lowest rate.

摘要: A data processing apparatus edits an actual data portion excluding a header from data transmitted by streaming transmission from a first information processing apparatus after start of streaming transmission. The data processing apparatus transmits edited actual data portion and header to a second information processing apparatus by streaming transmission. The second information processing apparatus reproduces the voice data or the animation data transmitted by streaming transmission. The actual data portion is edited so that the voice data or the animation data to be transmitted may be reproducible in the second information processing apparatus, and so that a program may become unexecutable even if it would be transmitted to the second information processing apparatus. Even if the voice data or the animation data transmitted from the first information processing apparatus by streaming transmission would be deteriorated, an executable virus program does not transmitted to the second information processing apparatus, thereby that makes it possible to realize the streaming transmission method which can realize simple and high security.

摘要: A relay apparatus for relaying communication between a plurality of wireless terminals and a wired network includes a priority data recording part for recording communication identification data and required bandwidth data, a priority control part for relaying, by priority, the communication recorded in the priority data recording part, a request receiving part for receiving communication identification data and multimedia type data, a selecting part for selecting a multimedia type to be relayed by priority, an updating part for additionally recording data that represents a bandwidth required for relaying a stream of the selected multimedia type and the communication identification data, and a responding part for transmitting a response. The selecting part selects the multimedia type so that a sum of bandwidths represented by the required bandwidth data does not exceed a predetermined upper limit value. With the above configuration, the relay apparatus can perform bandwidth control of communication to be relayed, considering the multimedia type included in the communication by a wireless terminal.
