    Abstract: An inductor includes an annular core, and a first coil and a second coil which are wound around the core. The core has an internal surface, an external surface, a first end surface, and a second end surface. The first coil and the second coil include a first coil piece having a length of one turn and a second coil piece having a length of one turn. The first coil piece and the second coil piece surround the internal surface, the first end surface, the external surface, and the second end surface of the core. The first coil piece has, at its tip, a joint portion to be joined to the second coil piece, and the second coil piece has, at its tip, a joint surface to be in contact with the joint portion. Thus, the resistance value of the coil is reduced.

    Abstract: A coil component according to the present disclosure comprises a ring-shaped core; an insulating member which covers a portion of the ring-shaped core; and a coil which is wound around the core and the insulating member. The coil comprises a plurality of pin members in which end portions of adjacent pin members share a welded portion at which the end portions are welded to each other, and the insulating member is located between the welded portion and the core. Thus, an inductance value of an inductor component can be improved.

    Abstract: An inductor component and a method for manufacturing an inductor component that enables the inductor component to be miniaturized. An inductor component includes an annular core; and a coil including a plurality of pin members and wound on the core with neighboring pin members connected to each other. A first pin member and a second pin member both adjacent to each other have a welded part in which an end face of an end part of the first pin member and a peripheral surface of an end part of the second pin member are welded to each other. A width of a part, of the first pin member, except the welded part is smaller, as viewed from a direction along a center line of the end part of the second pin member, than a width of a part, of the second pin member, except the welded part.

    Abstract: An inductor component includes a bottom plate portion that includes a first main surface and a second main surface; an annular core that is disposed on the bottom plate portion; a coil that is wound around the core; and an electrode terminal that is attached to the bottom plate portion and electrically connected to the coil. The electrode terminal includes a mounting surface portion configured to connect to a mount substrate. The core is disposed on the first main surface of the bottom plate portion so that an axis of the core intersects the first main surface of the bottom plate portion. The mounting surface portion is exposed on the second main surface side of the bottom plate portion, and at least a part of the mounting surface portion overlaps the core when seen in a direction perpendicular to the first main surface of the bottom plate portion.

    Abstract: An inductor component includes an annular core; and a first coil and a second coil that are wound around the core so that winding axes thereof are parallel to each other. The first coil and the second coil each include a conductor portion and a coating that covers the conductor portion. The inductor component further includes a first insulating resin that covers at least a part of the conductor portion of the first coil, the part being exposed from the coating; and a second insulating resin that covers at least a part of the conductor portion of the second coil, the part being exposed from the coating. The first insulating resin and the second insulating resin are not connected but separated in a space between surfaces of the first coil and the second coil that face each other.

    Abstract: A common mode choke coil includes a core, and first and second coils opposed to each other and wound on the core. The core can have a square shape, or an elongated shape having a long axis and a short axis when viewed in a direction along a central axis of the core. Each of the first and second coils is a single-layer coil. An area of a cross-section of the core taken perpendicular to a circumferential direction of the core is constant in the circumferential direction of the core. The cross-section of the core has a quadrilateral shape.
