Abstract: A method and apparatus may include receiving, by a radio access network (RAN), at least one burst arrival time (BAT) parameter from at least one session management function (SMF). The method may further include determining, by the RAN, if at least one actual BAT is offset from the at least one received BAT parameter by at least one threshold. The method may further include setting, by the RAN, at least one BAT correction parameter based upon at least one offset time. The method may further include calculating, by the RAN, at least one new BAT parameter according to the one BAT correction parameter. The method may further include adjusting, by the RAN, at least one burst schedule based upon one or more of the at least one BAT correction parameter or the at least one new BAT parameter.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided herein to receive, from a source, performance requirements, and cause transmission, to a network, of a request to influence time sensitive communications (TSC) configuration parameters. For example, a method is provided to in response to the request to influence TSC configuration, receive, from the network, network configuration and radio access network (RAN) resource constraints and determine a quality of service (QoS) and the TSC configuration parameters to support a TSC data stream based on the performance requirements received from the source, the network configuration, and the RAN resource constraints. The method is further configured to cause transmission of the determined QoS and the TSC configuration parameters to the network and the source and in an instance the network accepts the determined QoS and the TSC configuration parameters, configure resources for the TSC data stream and continuously support service continuity.

Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from improved network communication setup. A method, in certain embodiments, may include determining at a network entity a new protocol data unit session anchor of a protocol data unit session with a user equipment. The method may also include transmitting from the network entity to the new protocol data unit session anchor a request to establish the new protocol data unit session anchor. In addition, the method may include transmitting an indication from the network entity to a radio access network. The indication may notify the radio access network to switch paths to the new protocol data unit session anchor. Further, the method includes sending from the network entity a gratuitous address resolution protocol request to the determined new packet data unit session anchor. The gratuitous address resolution protocol request may comprise an address of the user equipment in the protocol data unit session.
