Abstract: A client device, a network node device, methods and computer programs are disclosed. A client device may comprise at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code may be configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the client device to receive a timing advance configuration message from a network node device, wherein the timing advance configuration message comprises a plurality of timing advance commands; perform a plurality of consecutive uplink transmissions to the network node device; and apply the plurality of timing advance commands between the plurality of consecutive uplink transmissions.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for dynamic cell-specific delay for timing scaling in a non-terrestrial network (NTN). For example, certain embodiments may utilize a cell-common delay composed of FL and part of SL (until a cell-specific reference surface). A network node (e.g., a gNB) may calculate the cell-common delay as a function of time (T_c(t)) and may provide this function to the UEs (the satellite path may beis deterministic). The function of time may be a combination of two functions representing the FL and SL. The function can may be broadcasted in a system information block (SIB) or transmitted directly to the UE through radio resource control (RRC) signaling when it becomes active, is handed over, and/or regularly updated.

Abstract: Method comprising: receiving, from a first cell of a satellite, a handover command triggering a handover of a terminal from the first cell of the satellite to a second cell of the satellite and an assumed location of the terminal; determining an actual location of the terminal; checking one or more of the following conditions applies: the actual location of the terminal deviates from the assumed location by more than a first threshold, and the actual location of the terminal is on the side of the first cell of the coverage boundary and remote from the coverage boundary by at least a second threshold; preventing the terminal from performing the handover if at least one of the one or more checked conditions is fulfilled.

Abstract: Various example embodiments relate to a solution for non-terrestrial network communication. A user device for non-terrestrial network communication may be configured to determine that a connection to a non-terrestrial network having a discontinuous coverage is unavailable, the non-terrestrial network providing at least one cell serving the user device; obtain data relating to cell availability of the at least one cell; determine a backoff time associated with a subsequent non-terrestrial network search based at least partly on the data relating to cell availability; and initiate a cell search of the non-terrestrial network again after expiration of the backoff time.

Abstract: Various example embodiments relate to provision of a positioning time gap in a paging procedure. An apparatus may obtain positioning capability information of a device. The positioning capability information may comprise an indication of a first time period for determining a position of the device with first initial positioning data and an indication of a second time period for determining the position of the device with second initial positioning data. A positioning time gap may be determined based on the positioning capability information of the device. The apparatus may transmit a first signal, but refrain from transmitting a second signal for at least a duration of the positioning time gap from the first signal. Apparatuses, methods, and computer programs are disclosed.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to paging. A first device in a tracking area receives, from a second device, identification information for monitoring a paging message associated with the tracking area. The first device is registered in the tracking area. The first device monitors, from the second device, the paging message based on the received identification information.
