Abstract: In accordance with an example embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus comprising: at least one processor; and at least one memory including computer program code, wherein the at least one memory and the computer program code are configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to perform at least the following: receive indication of bandwidth allocation for grant-free preamble transmission, receive indication of bandwidth allocation for grant-free resources, wherein the bandwidth allocated for grant-free preamble transmission is the same or larger than the bandwidth allocated for grant-free resources, receive configuration of one or more preamble repetition units, and allocate resources for grant-free preamble and data transmissions, wherein the grant-free preamble is allocated in the configured one or more preamble repetition units and within the bandwidth allocated for grant-free preamble transmission, and data is allocated in the grant-free resources.

Abstract: A base matrix is applied to an LDPC coder. The base matrix includes multiple parts, each including multiple of rows and columns, and containing integers, each representative of an identity matrix cyclically shifted in accordance with the integer or representative of an all-zero matrix. At least two of the multiple parts are configured such that their respective column-wise combinations of rows represents a same starting vector, cyclically shifted or interleaved, with zero or more but not all integers not indicative of the all-zero matrix of the same vector substituted by integers indicative of the all-zero matrix. The at least two of the multiple parts are not identical. The applied base matrix is used for one of encoding data using the LDPC coder or decoding data using the LDPC coder.

A second method comprises receiving a signal from a gNB, the signal including hopping parameters and being related to sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission, wherein at least one subset/SRS resource is sent for at least one numerology/beam pair, and wherein independent hopping is carried out in each subset for one specific numerology/beam pair or, when different SRS resources are configured for different numerologies/beams, the subset is defined for each SRS resource and independent hopping is made for each SRS resource; and sending an SRS transmission to the gNB in accordance with the signal.
