    摘要: A fluid ejection device includes a plurality of firing cells, a clocked latch switch, and a data latch switch. Each firing cell includes a heater used to fire ink through a nozzle, a drive switch, and a memory cell used to store a control value used to control the drive switch. The memory cell includes a data switch. A clocked latch switch receives a data-in signal and latches the data-in signal. All of the firing cells in the plurality of firing cells use the data-in signal latched by the clocked latch switch. The data latch switch latches the data-in signal to the data switch of at least two, but not all of the firing cells in the plurality of firing cells.

    摘要: Devices, methodologies, and other embodiments associated with fluid ejection devices are described. One exemplary embodiment includes a fluid ejection device that comprises a plurality of firing cells configured to eject fluid when activated. The firing cells can be grouped into firing groups of firing cells including a first fire group and a second fire group. A circuit can be provided that is configured to activate selected firing cells where the circuit is configured to respond to activation signals including a first fire pulse to activate the firing cells of the first fire group and a second fire pulse to activate the firing cells of the second fire group. The circuit can also be configured to activate the first fire group and the second fire group to eject fluid overlapping in time.

    摘要: A controller is provided for an inkjet airbrush system which uses inkjet printing technology for color mixing in airbrush painting, and for other fluid application systems. The controller is used to select a desired fluid blend or custom color which is blown by the inkjet airbrush onto an object. Firing signals, generated in response to the controller input, cause a printhead to eject a custom blend of colors which are combined in a mixing chamber and then atomized. The controller may be a remote device, or provided on-board the inkjet airbrush unit, preferably, as a joystick toggling device. The amount of colorant passing through the airbrush may be varied by varying the firing signal frequency in response to joystick motion or a separate adjustment mechanism. The inkjet airbrush system provides fast color changes and faster clean-up than conventional airbrushes. A method of controlling an inkjet airbrush is also provided.
