    Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for non-linear precoding are provided. One method may include combining, by a network node, of linear and non-linear precoding, for example based on specific channel state information acquisition from at least one user equipment, and generating two types of demodulation reference signals for the concatenated linear and non-linear precoding. The method may include multiplexing, by the network node, the two types of demodulation reference signals with data. A first of the two types of demodulation reference signals may be linearly precoded with one linear precoding matrix from a first-stage linear precoder, and another one of the two types may be linearly precoded with both the first-stage linear precoder and a feedforward filter in a second-stage non-linear precoder from the concatenation of linear and nonlinear precoders.

    Abstract: This document discloses a method and an apparatus to perform using a predicted sequence of beam measurement outputs for at least one observation window associated with at least one prediction window providing reference signal received power measurements to predict a beam prediction output; identifying that a prediction window of the at least one prediction window is overlapped with at least a portion of an observation window of the at least one observation window over a time period; and comparing the beam prediction output during the overlapped portion with measurements of the observation window during the overlapped portion to perform long term real time monitoring to determine at least one prediction output for use in a next time instant, wherein the determining is based on a predicted reference signal received power of the at least one prediction output being above a threshold.

    Abstract: There is provided a method at a network node of a communication network, comprising: receiving an uplink reference signal from a user equipment; estimating, based on the received uplink reference signal, delay information regarding a delay profile of a communication channel between the user equipment and the network node and spatial information regarding the communication channel; applying both the delay information and the spatial information in precoding of at least one downlink reference signal; transmitting the at least one precoded downlink reference signal to the user equipment; and receiving, from the user equipment as a response to the transmission of the at least one precoded downlink reference signal, channel information, the channel information indicating at least non-zero coefficients of at least one channel transmission layer.

For example, a method can include feeding back compressed channel state information. The channel state information can include combining coefficients used to combine a number of space domain, frequency domain, or both space and frequency domain ports. At least one layer can be restricted to be transmitted on one polarization. The feedback for the at least one layer only involves the combining coefficients on the one polarization.
