    Abstract: A cassette for optical fiber includes one or more optical sensors. The cassette has a spool for handling optical fiber. An adjustable shaft is disposed such that the spool is configured to rotate about the adjustable shaft. The adjustable shaft is configured to handle spools having different diameters. A spool controller is coupled to the adjustable shaft and configured to rotate the adjustable shaft to perform one or more of extract and retract the optical fiber. One or more bushings are disposed proximate the spool and are configured to prevent the optical fiber from jumping off the spool.

    Abstract: A system for evaluating a high voltage asset (HV asset) comprises a PD detector disposed in the HV asset. The PD detector comprises an electrical coupler configured to couple electrical disturbances indicative of a partial discharge from a high voltage conductor of the HV asset to an electrical-to-optical converter. The electrical-to-optical converter comprises a light emitter, and is configured to convert the electrical disturbances to a light signal. An optical power receiver is disposed in the high voltage asset and coupled to the PD detector. The optical power receiver is configured to receive optical power from an external optical power source via a non-conducting optical fiber arrangement. The electrical-to-optical converter is configured to communicate the light signal indicative of the partial discharge to an electronic device external of high voltage asset via the non-conducting optical fiber arrangement.

One or more contact portions are supported by the body and configured to secure the optical fiber. An adhesive dispenser is disposed proximate the body. The adhesive dispenser is configured to dispense at least one adhesive to the optical fiber and the structure. A dispenser controller is operatively coupled to the adhesive dispenser. The dispenser controller is configured to control the adhesive dispenser.
