    Abstract: A compact electronic device includes a base with a plurality of sides each adjacent to a bottom portion, wherein the base houses components comprising a heatsink supporting a fan module located in an interior portion, a Printed Circuit Board (PCB), and a power supply, and wherein vents are disposed on the bottom portion and side vents are disposed on one or more of the plurality of sides; a top cover configured to attach to the base via the plurality of sides forming an air gap extending each of the plurality of sides, wherein the air gap supports air exhaust on one or more sides of the plurality of sides and air intake on the remaining sides; and an electrical plug connected to the power supply and extending out of the bottom portion for insertion into an electrical outlet for power and to physically support the compact electronic device.

    Abstract: Smart rings and methods of manufacturing smart rings are provided. A foundation component of a smart ring, in accordance with one implementations, includes a band having at least an outer surface and an inner surface. The inner surface of the band includes features configured to support electronic components. The foundation component also includes a decorative element having a bottom surface substantially corresponding to a shape of a portion of the outer surface of the band. Furthermore, the decorative element is attached to the outer surface of the band. The action of attaching the decorative element may occur after a band polishing process and before electronic components are attached to the smart ring.

    Abstract: Compact electronic devices, such as Access Points (APs), having airflow and cooling features are provided. According to one implementation, a compact electronic device includes an outer plastic housing and an inner casing arranged inside the outer plastic housing. The inner casing has a high-voltage section configured to support one or more high-voltage electrical components and a low-voltage section configured to support one or more low-voltage electrical components. The compact electronic device further includes a single fan that is configured to draw air from outside the outer plastic housing, move the air through the high-voltage and low-voltage sections, and exhaust the air through one or more exhaust vents in the outer plastic housing. Also, the inner casing is configured to isolate the one or more high-voltage electrical components from metal portions of the low-voltage section by at least a certain separation to meet clearance and creepage safety standards.

    Abstract: A portable electronic charging case, with a compact form-factor, such as for a smart ring or the like, includes a base; a front cover connected to the base and configured to seal an interior of the charging case; a post on the base and in the interior; an antenna disposed within the post; and circuitry connected to the antenna and to a charging port located on the base. The electronic charging case includes advanced functionality, an aesthetic design, and a compact form-factor. The compact form-factor includes an embedded battery, an environmentally sealed design, and a small NFC/Bluetooth antenna. The aesthetic design includes no user-actuated mechanisms on an exterior of the charging case and an intelligent light sensor for illuminating the charging case.     Abstract: A dual-band antenna or coupled resonators, related wireless device applications, and methods of manufacturing the same are provided. Embodiments of the antenna have resonant frequencies in a lower 2-3 GHz frequency band and a higher 5-6 GHz frequency band range. The antenna has a high frequency portion that may be configured to operate as an inverted F antenna. The high frequency element is also positioned adjacent to a nearby parasitic element. In operation, the high frequency element and the parasitic element couple together and form a current loop, or loop antenna which is configured to resonate at a low frequency band.
