    Abstract: Aspects of disclosure relate to dynamically modifying a synchronization signal block (SSB) beam configuration in a wireless communication system. In an aspect, a UE receives, from a base station, a first message triggering the UE to measure a signal strength of SSB beams transmitted from the base station. The UE then sends, to the base station, a second message including a report of the signal strength of the SSB beams and receives, from the base station, a third message indicating at least an SSB beam of the SSB beams or a quasi-colocation (QCL) type to use based on the report. The UE then establishes a connection with the base station using an indicated SSB beam or QCL type.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to beam management techniques in a wireless communication system. A UE establishes a communication link with a base station and receives a set of transmit beams transmitted via a plurality of symbols in a sequential manner, wherein a respective transmit beam is transmitted in a respective symbol of the plurality of symbols. The UE measures, for each transmit beam in the set of transmit beams, a set of signal strengths corresponding to the respective transmit beam using a plurality of receive beams in the respective symbol, wherein a respective signal strength is measured based on a respective receive beam. The UE then sends a feedback message to the base station comprising at least an identification of a transmit beam having a highest measured signal strength among all sets of signal strengths measured for the set of transmit beams and the highest measured signal strength.

    Abstract: Aspects are provided including one or more techniques for graphics processing involving hierarchical modulation and foveated rendering. A first wireless device obtains, from a network entity, a hierarchical modulated image including higher and lower priority bits. The first wireless device also obtains gaze information from a second wireless device indicating an associated foveal region. In response to the gaze information, the first wireless device processes a portion of the hierarchical modulated image associated with the lower priority bits using the gaze information. For example, the device decodes low priority bits in the hierarchical modulated image in regions closer to the fovea. The first wireless device subsequently provides an image including the processed portion to be rendered at the second wireless device. For example, the processed image may have a higher resolution in the regions closer to the fovea but a lower resolution in regions farther from the fovea.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device may be configured to include an array of lenses along with multiple antenna arrays that each include a set of antenna elements. The antenna arrays may each support multiple beam directions, such as a respective beam direction for each lens of the array of lenses. If beams for multiple antenna arrays concurrently pass through the same lens, the lens may contribute to maintaining separation between the beams. Lenses may also contribute to the shaping of beams, and the use of multiple lenses may enhance a coverage area for beams transmitted or received by the antenna arrays.

    Abstract: Some techniques and apparatuses described herein provide radio frequency (RF) beamforming using a cylindrical lens and interleaved receive and transmit antenna arrays. In one example, an apparatus for wireless communication may include a cylindrical lens having a first surface and a curved second surface opposite to the first surface. In some cases, the cylindrical lens may include a power direction corresponding to a curvature of the curved second surface and a non-power direction that is orthogonal to the power direction. In some aspects, the apparatus can include at least one receive antenna array disposed proximate to the first surface of the cylindrical lens that has a plurality of receive antenna array elements. In some examples, the apparatus can include at least one transmit antenna array disposed proximate to the first surface of the cylindrical lens that has a plurality of transmit antenna array elements.
