Abstract: The apparatus may be a UE configured to identify at least one performance metric associated with a channel estimation operation at the UE. The apparatus may further be configured to calculate at least one uncertainty value associated with the at least one performance metric. The apparatus may also be configured to transmit, to a network node, a first indication of the at least one uncertainty value associated with the at least one performance metric. The apparatus may be a network node, configured to receive, from a UE, the first indication and a second indication of at least one value for the at least one performance metric associated with the at least one uncertainty value and to select a set of parameters for a subsequent communication based on the at least one value for the at least one performance metric and the at least one uncertainty value.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communication. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving configuration information for receiving a first multi-allocation precoding transmission from a network entity; receiving, from the network entity, the first multi-allocation precoding transmission including a first plurality of differently precoded signals corresponding to a first modulated signal, wherein each differently precoded signal of the first plurality of differently precoded signals corresponds to a respective different portion of a first modulated signal, and a different antenna element of a first plurality of antenna elements of the network entity; combining the first plurality of differently precoded signals to obtain the first modulated signal; and demodulating the first modulated signal.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless networks may maintain up-to-date location information for the UE by periodically determining the location the UE using a low power transponding mechanism while the UE is in an inactive state. The UE may monitor a first beam to receive one or more transponder search signals during one or more transponder occasions, and between paging attempts from one or more of the base stations of the network. The UE may receive the one or more transponder search signals, and may transmit a transponder response message to a base station including a UE identifier associated with the inactive state. The base station may receive the transponder response message, and may conduct various location measurements for the UE using the transponder response.

Abstract: Aspects of disclosure relate to dynamically modifying a synchronization signal block (SSB) beam configuration in a wireless communication system. In an aspect, a UE receives, from a base station, a first message triggering the UE to measure a signal strength of SSB beams transmitted from the base station. The UE then sends, to the base station, a second message including a report of the signal strength of the SSB beams and receives, from the base station, a third message indicating at least an SSB beam of the SSB beams or a quasi-colocation (QCL) type to use based on the report. The UE then establishes a connection with the base station using an indicated SSB beam or QCL type.
