Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may perform an initialization procedure with an extended reality (XR) device including a time synchronization and a frequency synchronization. The UE may receive, from the XR device and at a first periodicity, first pilot signals, and may transmit, based on receiving the first pilot signals, a first control message indicating a first set of correction factors to apply to at least one of the time synchronization or the frequency synchronization. The UE may transmit, to the XR device and at a second periodicity, a second pilot signal, and may receive, from the XR device, a second control message including samples of the second pilot signal. The UE may transmit, based on the samples, a third control message indicating a second set of correction factors to apply to the time synchronization between the UE and the XR device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For instance, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a first report indicating a capability to support per codeword demodulation for a set of codewords, a second type of demodulation for the set of codewords, or both. The UE may receive, based on transmitting the first report, the set of codewords over a set of spatial streams in accordance with the per codeword demodulation or the second type of demodulation. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a capability message indicating support for adaptive power amplifier back-off for uplink transmissions. The UE may receive, based at least in part on the capability message, an identifier for an adaptive power amplifier back-off scheme to be applied to an uplink transmission. The UE may perform the uplink transmission according to the adaptive power amplifier back-off scheme, wherein the adaptive power amplifier back-off scheme comprises a change to at least one of an error vector magnitude level for a power amplifier of the UE or an output power of the power amplifier of the UE, wherein the change triggers the power amplifier to operate in a non-linear region such that the uplink transmission includes a non-linear component.
