    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless communications system may support adaptive scheduling in idle mode. In some cases, a user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a first beam sweeping occasion and a first paging occasion within a search time period. The UE may select a first quantity of measurement occasions of the first beam sweeping occasion for monitoring multiple beams. The first quantity of measurement occasions may be based on a channel quality metric observed for a prior beam during a prior beam sweeping occasion. The UE may select a first beam to monitor for a first paging message during the first paging occasion based on respective channel quality metrics observed for multiple beams during the first quantity of measurement occasions. Further, the UE may monitor for the first paging message during the first paging occasion using the first beam.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured with one or more parameters to support blockage detection for beamformed communication. The UE may receive a set of reference signals via a receive beam of a beam pair. The UE may detect a condition associated with a measured signal quality of a reference signal of the set of reference signals relative to a filtered signal quality of the set of reference signals. The condition may, in some examples, correspond to a drop of the measured signal quality at least a threshold amount below the filtered signal quality for at least a threshold duration of time. The UE may delete one or more signal quality values from a measurement database of the UE based on detecting the condition. The one or more signal quality values may be associated with the beam pair.

    Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium for wireless communication configured for estimating a channel using a set of predefined sensing beams to measure reference signals. Estimating the channel may include generating an N×N channel correlation matrix, where N is a number of antenna elements in the antenna array. The implementations further include generating a set of dynamic beam weights to maximize a reference signal received power (RSRP) based on the estimated channel. The set of dynamic beam weights may be based on an eigenvector of the channel correlation matrix. Additionally, the implementations further include applying the set of dynamic beam weights to an antenna array.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method may include a user equipment (UE) identifying a priority scheme for a set of signals including a first set of synchronization signal block (SSB) signals associated with a first frequency range, a second set of SSB signals associated with a second frequency range, and a paging signal associated with the first frequency range. The UE may then monitor, via a narrowband processor of the UE and based on the priority scheme, a set of time resources for one or more of the first set of SSB signals, the second set of SSB signals, or the paging signal. The narrowband processor may be configured to process signals received via the first frequency range and the second frequency range.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication of a set of component carriers (CCs) for the UE and a respective frequency range (FR) for each CC of the set of CCs. Each CC-FR pairing may be associated with a respective priority of a set of priorities. The UE may initiate a plurality of timers, where each timer of the plurality of timers may correspond to a respective CC-FR pairing. After expiration of a timer of the plurality of timers, the UE may measure one or more reference signals of a subset of the set of CCs based at least in part on a capability of the UE and a priority of the respective CC-FR pairing associated with the timer.
