    Abstract: For maneuver coordination among autonomous and/ or semi-autonomous vehicles, a first vehicle can determine a maneuver and submit a maneuver request to a receiving device (e. g., a second device, road side unit, or other device). The maneuver request can include a priority designation based on the vehicle type of the first vehicle, requested maneuver type, and/or other factors. The receiving device can then determine whether to grant the maneuver request based, at least in part, on the priority included in the maneuver request.

    Abstract: Techniques described herein provide for enhanced ultra-local navigation services for V2X devices (e.g., smartphones incorporating V2X chip sets). The V2X devices can transmit vehicle information to edge network devices (e.g., roadside units). The roadside units can be deployed at intersections or along roads to collect traffic information through various sensor inputs and V2X communications with multiple vehicles. The communication between V2X devices and the edge network devices can be accomplished through wireless communication (e.g., direct PC5 interface or through local Uu interface with edge computing. The edge network devices can perform local route optimization and compute one or more recommendations (e.g., a recommend route, a recommended speed, a recommended lane). The edge network devices can transmit the one or more recommendations via a wireless communication to the V2X devices. The V2X devices can display the recommendations to a user.

    Abstract: Techniques described herein provide for leader selection of a group of vehicles, based on inter-vehicle communications. According to embodiments, a host vehicle can determine it qualifies to be the leader of a potential group by comparing vehicle information of other cars in the potential group with its own vehicle information. Once the determination has been made, the host can then a request to be the group leader to the other vehicles. If the other vehicles accept, the host vehicle can initiate group formation. Otherwise, another vehicle can reject the request and send its own request to become the group leader, reinitiating group leader negotiation until a group leader is determined.

    Abstract: In an aspect, a first UE communicates (e.g., transmits and/or receives) traffic of a first type with a second UE via a unicast link. The first UE sets up support for transport of traffic of a second type over the unicast link. The first UE tunnels (e.g., transmits and/or receives) the traffic of the second type between the first UE and the second UE over the unicast link. In another aspect, instead of tunneling the traffic of the second type over the same unicast link, the first UE sets up a second unicast link for traffic of the second type with the second UE, with the unicast links having a shared link management status. In another aspect, a BS allocates a set of resources to support the associated (e.g., bound) unicast link.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some cases, an application enabler layer (e.g., a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) application enabler (VAE) layer), may identify a congestion control configuration that includes capabilities for collecting operation information. The application enabler layer may receive, from a set of user equipment (UEs), the operation information in accordance with the capabilities. Then, the application enabler layer may generate congestion control instructions for one or more UEs of the set of UEs based on the received operation information. Additionally or alternatively, an application enabler architecture layer (e.g., a service enabler architecture layer for verticals (SEAL)) may identify a congestion control configuration including capabilities for collecting operation information and monitor sidelink performance for the set of UEs in accordance with the capabilities. The application enabler architecture layer may identify a congestion status for a communication type based on monitoring the sidelink performance.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for managing traversals of one or more vehicles through a traffic intersection are proposed. In one example, a method comprises: receiving a first message including one or more motion characteristics of one or more vehicles approaching the traffic intersection; forming a motion group; grouping a subset of the one or more vehicles into the motion group based on the one or more motion characteristics; assigning a leader vehicle for the motion group; determining a group maneuver target for the motion group to traverse through the traffic intersection; and transmitting, to the leader vehicle of the motion group, a second message including the group maneuver target for the motion group, to enable the leader vehicle of the motion group to control a motion of each member vehicle of the motion group based on the group maneuver target.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) in a vehicle, or a road side unit, may broadcast an inter-vehicle message for a driving maneuver to be executed by the vehicle. The inter-vehicle message may be a coordinated driving maneuver request requiring acceptance from another vehicle or an informational message for the intended driving maneuver. The inter-vehicle message includes a temporal execution window defining a range of time during which the driving maneuver will be initiated. A temporal window defining a range of time during which the driving maneuver will be completed may also be included. A spatial window defining a range of distance for a start and/or stop location for the driving maneuver may also be completed. The vehicle may execute the driving maneuver within the temporal execution window, e.g., if a driving maneuver response is received before the expiration of the temporal execution window, and will otherwise cancel the driving maneuver.
