    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for user equipment (UE) autonomous sidelink resource selection. A method that may be performed by a UE includes performing autonomous sidelink resource selection. The selection includes excluding resources, from a first resource set, associated with transmissions at a signal strength above a signal strength threshold to form a second resource set. The selection includes determining a resource amount in the second resource set is at or above a threshold percentage of a resource amount in the first resource set. The selection includes excluding, from the second resource set, resources associated with physical sidelink control channels (PSCCHs) without excluding resources associated with physical sidelink shared channels associated with the PSCCHs to form a third resource set. The selection includes randomly selecting resources for a PSCCH transmission from the third resource set. The method includes sending the PSCCH transmission using the randomly selected resources.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for cyclic shift selection for physical sidelink control channel retransmissions. A method that may be performed by a first user equipment (UE) includes monitoring one or more sidelink control information (SCI) transmissions from one or more second UEs. The method generally includes determining, based on the one or more SCI, whether one or more collisions occur between one or more retransmissions of the one or more SCI transmissions by the one or more second UEs and a scheduled SCI transmission by the first UE. The method generally includes selecting a cyclic shift to use for the scheduled SCI transmission by the first UE based at least on the determination.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, control information indicating a first set of resource elements (REs) allocated for a tone reservation signal based on a channel frequency response. The UE and the network entity may determine a second set of REs for the tone reservation signal on the first set of REs and application of a rule. The rule may pertain to contention resolution between REs allocated for tone reservation signaling and REs allocated to a channel used for downlink signaling. The UE may receive both the tone reservation signal and a downlink signal, where the tone reservation signal is received in accordance with the second set of REs.

A method for conveying uplink (UL) payload may include receiving, at a physical (PHY) layer, a UL payload from one or more user equipments (UEs) and delivering different segments associated with the UL payload, to a medium access control (MAC) layer, in different messages via a functional application platform interface (FAPI). According to certain aspects, the different segments may carry UL payload with different priorities, and segments with higher priority UL payload may be delivered, to the MAC layer, prior to segments with lower priority UL payload.
