Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit first capability information indicating a first set of band configurations. The UE may transmit, after the transmission of the first capability information, second capability information indicating a second set of band configurations. The UE may receive information indicating a band configuration, wherein the band configuration that is not included in at least one of the first set of band configurations or the second set of band configurations. The UE may communicate using the band configuration. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first connected mode discontinuous reception (CDRX) configuration from a first cell associated with a first radio access technology (RAT), the first CDRX configuration includes a first indication of a first on occasion. The UE may receive a second CDRX configuration from a second cell associated with a second RAT, the second CDRX configuration includes a second indication of a second on occasion. The UE may determine that the first on occasion and the second on occasion are separated by a threshold. The UE may transmit, based at least in part on the determination that the first on occasion and the second on occasion are separated by the threshold, a CDRX reconfiguration request message.
Abstract:
Apparatuses and methods for a wireless communication device having a first Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) and a second SIM to manage communication via the first SIM and the second SIM, the method includes, but not limited to, registering the first subscription to a first Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN), wherein the first PLMN is associated with at least one parameter, identifying a second PLMN for the second subscription based on the at least one parameter, and registering the second subscription to the second PLMN.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for avoiding call drops during Serving Radio Network Subsystem (SRNS) relocation procedure are described. In an aspect, the method may include receiving an SRNS RELOCATION message and initiating a handover procedure from a first radio network subsystem (RNS) to a second RNS based on the SRNS RELOCATION message. The method may include identifying a downlink (DL) message and identifying an uplink (UL) message. The method may include holding the DL message and the UL message at a radio resource control (RRC) layer until completion of the handover procedure. In another aspect, the SRNS RELOCATION message may include a new FRESH value. The method may include retaining an old FRESH value determined before the SRNS RELOCATION was received. The method may include applying both the old FRESH value and new FRESH value to the DL message to determine if the DL message is valid.
