    Abstract: The described techniques relate to improved methods, systems, devices, and apparatuses that support spatial reuse for sidelink communications. Generally, the described techniques provide for a user equipment (UE) to reuse resources for receiving sidelink transmissions. The UE may receive a first sidelink control channel that may indicate a set of reserved resources for sidelink communications associated with a second UE. The first UE may decode a second sidelink control channel from the second UE based on the first sidelink control channel. The first UE may determine that the set of resources is available for use based on a result of decoding the second sidelink control channel, a radius of the second sidelink control channel, and the distance between the first UE and the second UE.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support configured reception with sidelink control information (SCI) repetition over a sidelink. In aspects, a receiving user equipment (UE) may be configured to conduct combined reception/decoding of SCI repetitions (received from a transmitting UE over a sidelink) over multiple time-frequency slots at pre-defined occasions (e.g., occasions configured by a base station) to decode a sidelink transmission. In aspects, a receiving UE may receive from a transmitting UE over a sidelink, a sidelink transmission during a reception occasion that includes a plurality of reception opportunities for the receiving UE. Each reception opportunity of the plurality of reception opportunities includes a repetition of an SCI. The receiving UE decodes the SCI by combining the repetitions of the SCI received in one or more reception opportunities, and decodes a data transmission (e.g., a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) transmission) using the decoded SCI.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first device, which may be a user equipment (UE), may transmit a sidelink control information SCI) message (e.g., an SCI-1 message) on a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) to a group of devices. The SCI may message may reserve a set of sidelink resources for a sidelink communication between the first device and a second device of the group of devices. The first device may receive an acknowledgment (ACK) message on a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) from the second device. Based on receiving the ACK message, the first device may release the set of sidelink resources and may transmit a release message (e.g., a physical sidelink release channel (PSRCH) message) on a PSRCH that includes an indication of the released set of sidelink resources.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a first sidelink signal indicating a set of resources that are reserved at the UE for sidelink communications. The UE may perform multiple listen-before-talk (LBT) procedures using respective consecutive slots of the set of resources. The UE may transmit another sidelink signal using a portion of the set of resources following the multiple LBT procedures. The UE may release a remaining portion of the set of resources after transmitting the second sidelink signal. Another UE may receive the first sidelink signal including the indication of the set of resources. The other UE may detect the remaining portion of the set of resources that may be available for the other UE to use for first sidelink communications based on overbooking at the UE.
