    摘要: Magnetic recording media with high coercivity and low noise, suitable for high density longitudinal recording, are formed with a surface oxidized sub-seedlayer between a non-magnetic substrate and seedlayer. Embodiments include depositing a NiAl sub-seedlayer on a glass or glass-ceramic substrate, oxidizing the surface of the NiAl sub-seedlayer, and then sequentially depositing a NiAl seedlayer, Cr or Cr alloy underlayer, e.g., CrMo, an optional intermediate CoCrTa alloy layer, a magnetic layer, e.g., a Co-alloy magnetic layer, and a protective overcoat, e.g., a carbon-containing protective overcoat.

    摘要: High areal density magnetic recording media are formed with a thin CoCrTaOx intermediate layer which provides appropriate crystalline orientation and surface morphology for the nucleation and growth of a magnetic layer thereon having increased coercivity and high squareness, while avoiding high substrate heating temperatures. Embodiments include sputter depositing an intermediate layer comprising Co, about 10 to about 20 atomic % Cr and about 1 to about 6 atomic % Ta, at a thickness of about 1.5 to about 18 Å on a Cr or Cr alloy underlayer, allowing partial oxidation of the surface of the intermediate layer by residual oxygen in the sputtering system, and then sputter depositing a CoCrPtTa magnetic alloy layer thereon.

The substrate wafer has a coefficient of thermal expansion greater than that of the film stack material so as to generate compressive forces upon the associated film layers, thus resulting in the film filter having a negative temperature drift coefficient.

    摘要: The present invention discloses a mold and a method of manufacturing the mold. The mold includes a mold matrix and a number of boron nitride nanotubes sintered together with the mold matrix. Each boron nitride nanotube capsules a number of fullerenes therein respectively. The mold further includes an amount of noble metal powder sintered together with the mold matrix and the boron nitride nanotubes. The fullerenes preferably include C60 molecules. In addition, the method for manufacturing a mold includes the steps of: providing a number of boron nitride nanotubes, each boron nitride nanotube capsuling a number of fullerenes therein respectively; mixing a mold matrix with the boron nitride nanotubes capsuling the fullerenes to form a complex; molding the complex to form a mold preform; and sintering the mold preform, thereby attaining a mold.

    摘要: A hybrid lens (10) includes a plastic lens (12) and a glass coating film (14). The plastic lens is manufactured by injection molding. The glass coating film is formed on an outer surface of the plastic lens and encloses the outer surface of the plastic lens. The coating film comprises a single layer of glass material or a plurality of layers of glass material. The glass coating film is deposited on the outer surface of the plastic lens by vacuum deposition. The hybrid lens reduces chromatic aberration and provides improved image quality for an imaging system. A method for making the hybrid lens is also provided.

A subwavelength grating (302) is formed on the light incident surface for diffracting the light. The subwavelength grating is a zeroth-order grating which covers a wide wavelength band and diffracts the light into zeroth-order waves. So that the light guide plate has a high light utilization efficiency and yields high uniformity of outgoing light.
