Abstract: Disclosed is a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G system such as LTE. According to one embodiment, disclosed is a method by which a base station performs downlink beamforming in a wireless access system, comprising the steps of, receiving, from a terminal, information related to a channel state, checking, on the basis of the information related to a channel state, channel state information estimated by subcarrier group unit, acquiring analog beamforming information and digital beamforming information on the basis of the channel state information, performing, by subcarrier group unit, hybrid beamforming in which the analog beamforming and the digital beamforming are combined, on the basis of the analog beamforming information and the digital beamforming information, and transmitting subcarrier group information corresponding to the subcarrier group, wherein the number of subcarriers in the subcarrier group is no more than the number of subcarriers included in one resource block.

Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for determining, by a receiving end, a correction time value according to ranging access in a wireless communication system. A reception apparatus in a wireless communication system comprises a signal period selector for selecting a first detection time interval and a second detection time interval from a RACH signal for ranging access, the RACH signal including a RACH preamble sequence, a time offset detector for detecting a first time offset and a second time offset, each corresponding to a point of time when the preamble sequence is received, from the selected first detection time interval and the second detection time interval, respectively, and a time offset determiner for determining a correction time value for correcting a point of time when data is transmitted by a transmitting end in the wireless communication system, on the basis of the detected first time offset and the second time offset. This research was carried out with the support of “Pan-government Giga Korea Project” led by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning.

The method is for phase correction of an antenna in a large-capacity antenna system, the method includes grouping large-capacity antennas into a predetermined number of groups; setting a path such that ports of the grouped antennas have a feedback path; outputting a test signal to be outputted to each antenna port of each group by adding a code or sequence having orthogonality; separating signals for each antenna port in the group by using the code or sequence having orthogonality in a signal received through the feedback path; and calculating a calibration value by detecting a phase change of the separated signal.
