Abstract: A method for providing an application list using a server apparatus which is connectable to a display apparatus, is provided. Metadata regarding the display apparatus is provided from the display apparatus, and it is determined whether the display apparatus supports a service based on an Internet Service Provider network. An Internet Service Provider code of an Internet Service Provider network which is connected to the display apparatus is issued, and services provided by an Internet Service Provider are generated. The services correspond to the Internet Service Provider code are generated as an application list, and the application list is transmitted to the display apparatus.

The display apparatus includes: a signal processor configured to process a broadcasting signal of a predetermined channel; a displayer configured to display an image based on the processed broadcasting signal; a communication section configured to communicate with a server; and a controller configured to receive a list of unified channels of a plurality of broadcasting areas from the server, determine whether the unified channels correspond to receivable channels in a current broadcasting area, and provide program information of a plurality of channels corresponding to the receivable channels, among the unified channels.
