Abstract:
Systems and methods are described for simultaneously accessing a plurality of services on Wi-Fi. The method comprises registering a first and second Media Access Control (MAC) identification (ID) with a first and second IP Multimedia System (IMS), by use of a User Equipment (UE). The UE comprises a first MAC ID associated with a first Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) card and a second MAC ID associated with a second SIM card. Use of a first service through a first Access Point (AP) without interrupting a second service may be available with registration of a first and second MAC ID
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for controlling a voice call at a user equipment (UE) in a wireless network. A method includes transmitting, to a network entity, a tracking area update (TAU) service request for a subsystem (IMS) initiation; receiving, from the network entity, a TAU service reject message; and in response to the TAU service reject message, stopping a circuit switch (CS) fall back call in at least one legacy radio technology (RAT).
Abstract:
A method for handling an ATTACH reject message with packet radio service mobility management reject cause number (#14 cause) at a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes receiving, at the UE, an ATTACH accept message for a network service on a public land mobile network (PLMN) from a first network entity, wherein the PLMN is in a “forbidden PLMNs for general packet radio service (GPRS) service” list, detecting, by the UE, that the UE's evolved universal terrestrial radio access (E-UTRA) capability is disabled, and enabling, by the UE, the UE's E-UTRA capability and removing the PLMN from the “forbidden PLMNs for GPRS service” list.
Abstract:
A method and system for enabling a User Equipment (UE) to quickly recover back to normal service on failure of registration attempt to a selected Closed Subscriber Group (CSG) cell or loss of coverage of the selected CSG cell is provided. The method provides a UE behavior during manual CSG selection mode when the selected CSG cell is associated with a different Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) than the Registered PLMN (RPLMN) of the UE. The method also defines the UE actions to handle a user request to change a current Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) selection mode and handle expiry of a Home PLMN (HPLMN) timer in the UE, when the UE is attached to the selected CSG cell in the manual CSG selection mode.
Abstract:
A method for retaining a Robust Header Compression (ROHC) state in a User Equipment (UE) during switching from a Voice over Long Term Evolution (VoLTE) call to a video call or vice versa is provided. When the VoLTE call is in progress and if a user switches the VoLTE call to the video call, then the RTP header information is sent to an Application Processor (AP) from a Communication Processor (CP). The ROHC compressor continues the compression of the RTP packets using the existing built context for the video call. Further, when the video call is in progress and if the user switches the video call to the VoLTE call, then the RTP header information is sent to the CP from the AP. The ROHC context is reused by exchanging the RTP header information between the AP and the CP.
Abstract:
A method and system to use existing Non-access stratum (NAS) signaling connection for pending uplink signaling/data after Tracking Area Update Procedure (TAU) complete is disclosed. The proposed method handles the EPS Session Management (ESM), Short Message Service (SMS) or voice call or data when a User Equipment (UE) is waiting for TAU accept. The method allows UE to inform the network with specific Information Element (IE) in TAU complete message, so that the network will take the next action. This will help to provide quick services to the user. Using the “CONN REQ TYPE” IE, in TAU complete, to handle all abnormal Cases for Circuit Switches (CS) services/data services in E-UTRAN (Evolved UTRAN) network.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a method for improving call performance in a wireless network. The method includes sending an invite request to a server to initiate a Voice over New Radio (VoNR) service, where the UE is connected with a first network entity, and where the invite request comprises a media feature tag. The method includes initiating an Evolved Packet System fallback (EPS FB) service timer based on the media feature tag and a quality of service (QoS) timer and establishing a call over a second network entity using a dedicated bearer when the EPS FB command is received from the server. The call is established over the second network entity using the dedicated bearer by sending a service request to the server and/or sending an update request to the server when the EPS FB timer is expired and the EPS FB command is not received from the server.

Abstract:
A method for establishing a virtual reality (VR) call between a caller VR device and a callee VR device, the method includes determining which of the caller VR device or the callee VR device should perform a stitching operation associated with the VR call based on a first plurality of parameters associated with the callee VR device and a second plurality of parameters associated with the caller VR device, and causing transmission of one of a plurality of media contents or a stitched media content from the caller VR device to the callee VR device after establishment of the VR call based on the determining.
