Abstract:
An apparatus includes an image analysis unit arranged to extract, from the medical image, brightness intensities of a first body lumen region of the medical image and brightness intensities of a second body lumen region of the medical image; and a measuring unit arranged to calculate a first body lumen value and a second body lumen value, each of the first body lumen value and a second body lumen value being calculated as a predetermined linear combination of the brightness intensities of the corresponding first body lumen region and second body lumen region, and to compare the first body lumen value with the second body lumen value.
Abstract:
A tomography apparatus includes a data obtainer and an image processor. The data obtainer performs a tomography scan on a moving object and obtains raw data of the object The image processor reconstructs a first tomography image of the object for a first slice section in a first phase from the raw data and reconstructs a second tomography image in a second phase, which is different from the first phase, for the first slice section of the object by using the raw data. The image processor also generates motion information indicating a three-dimensional (3D) motion of the object. The second phase is a phase beyond a phase range of the raw data.

Abstract:
Provided are a tomography apparatus and a method for reconstructing a tomography image. The method includes obtaining a plurality of raw data corresponding to a plurality of views by performing a tomography scan on an object and deblurring each of the plurality of raw data based on a point spread function (PSF) that varies according to locations in a field of view (FOV) in a gantry. The method also includes reconstructing a final tomography image in which a motion of the object is corrected from the plurality of deblurred raw data based on a motion vector indicating the motion of the object.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method of processing a medical image are provided. The apparatus is configured to generate a cross-sectional image of an object by transmitting X-rays through a region of the object, and includes an X-ray generator configured to generate the X-rays. The apparatus further includes a controller configured to determine sub-regions included in the region, based on positions of body parts included in the region, determine image qualities of the sub-regions based on types of the body parts included in the sub-regions, control doses of the X-rays based on the image qualities, and control the X-ray generator to transmit the controlled X-rays to the region.
Abstract:
A tomography apparatus includes a data acquirer acquiring a first image and a second image that are partial images, by using data acquired in a first angular section corresponding to a first time point and a second angular section corresponding to a second time and facing the first angular section, by performing a tomography scan on an object that is moving, and acquiring first information indicating a motion amount of the object by using the first image and the second image, and an image reconstructor reconstructing a target image indicating the object at a target time, based on the first information.
Abstract:
A tomography apparatus includes a data acquirer which acquires a first image which corresponds to a first time point and a second image which corresponds to a second time point by performing a tomography scan on an object; an image reconstructor which acquires first information which relates to a relationship between a motion amount of the object and the time based on a motion amount between the first image and the second image, predicts a third image which corresponds to a third time point between the first and second time points based on the first information, corrects the first information by using the predicted third image and measured data which corresponds to the third time point, and reconstructs the third image by using the corrected first information; and a display which displays the reconstructed third image.
Abstract:
A tomography imaging apparatus and a tomography imaging method are provided. The tomography imaging apparatus includes a data acquirer configured to acquire first X-ray data of an object for each of energy bands, and an image preprocessor configured to perform a beam hardening correction on the first X-ray data for each of the energy bands, to generate second X-ray data of the object. The tomography imaging apparatus further includes an image reconstructor configured to reconstruct a tomography image of the object based on the second X-ray data.
