摘要: The present disclosure relates to an imaging apparatus and an imaging method, a camera module, and an electronic apparatus that are capable of detecting a failure in an imaging device having a structure in which a plurality of substrates are stacked.
The timing at which a row drive unit provided in a second substrate outputs a control signal for controlling accumulation and reading of pixel signals in a pixel array provided in a first substrate is compared with the timing at which the control signal output from the row drive unit is detected after passing through the pixel array. Depending on whether or not the timings coincides with each other, a failure is detected. The present disclosure can be applied to an imaging apparatus mounted on a vehicle.-

In a pixel array unit, a pixel including a plurality of photoelectric conversion units having different light receiving sensitivities is disposed. An analog to digital (AD) conversion unit that compares an electric signal corresponding to a charge of the photoelectric conversion unit having a low light receiving sensitivity among the plurality of photoelectric conversion units included in the pixel of the pixel array unit with a nonlinear reference signal that changes nonlinearly to perform AD conversion on the electric signal. The present technology is able to be applied to, for example, a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) image sensor.-

摘要: An imaging system includes an imaging apparatus that is mounted on a vehicle and generates an image by imaging an area around the vehicle, and a processing apparatus that is mounted on the vehicle. The imaging apparatus includes a plurality of pixels. A control unit controls exposure by each of the plurality of pixels, and a processing unit executes a predetermined test. The control unit controls exposure so that reading of a pixel signal is started in a second period after the completion of reading of a pixel signal in a first period. The processing unit executes a predetermined test in a third period, the third period is between the reading of the pixel signal in the first period and the reading of the pixel signal in the second period. The processing apparatus restricts a function of controlling the vehicle based on a result of the predetermined test.

摘要: An imaging apparatus of the present disclosure includes: a first switch that couples a first light-receiving device and a first charge accumulation section to each other; a second switch that couples a predetermined node and the first charge accumulation section to each other; a third switch that applies a predetermined voltage to the predetermined node; a fourth switch that couples a second light-receiving device and a second charge accumulation section to each other; a fifth switch that couples the second charge accumulation section and the predetermined node to each other; an output section that outputs a pixel voltage; a driving section; and a processor that determines first to fourth values. The driving section turns on the second and third switches and turning off the first, fourth, and fifth switches to the off state in a first period, turns off the third switch and turns on the fifth switch in a second period, turns on the fourth switch in a third period, and turns off the fourth switch in a fourth period. The processor determines the third value on the basis of the pixel voltages in the second and fourth periods.
