Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel, a gate driver, a data driver, a driving controller and a power voltage generator. The display panel displays an image based on input image data. The gate driver outputs a gate signal to a gate line. The data driver outputs a data voltage to a data line. The driving controller drives display areas of the display panel in different driving frequencies. The power voltage generator outputs a data power voltage to the data driver. The driving controller outputs an output data enable signal including a writing period having an active signal and a holding period having an inactive signal for the respective display areas. The power voltage generator generates the data power voltage having a high power voltage level during the writing period and a low power voltage level in at least a portion of the holding period.

Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, a touch panel on the display panel, a host processor, and a display panel driver. The host processor receives proximity data of the touch panel. The display panel driver receives an input control signal from the host processor and drives the display panel based on the input control signal. The touch panel includes a proximity area and a non-proximity area. The host processor counts a rise of the proximity data in the proximity area to generate a first count value. The host processor resets the first count value when the proximity data in the non-proximity area increase.

Abstract: An OLED display device includes display panel and a panel driver. The panel driver receives input image data at an input frame frequency and determines whether the input image data represent a still image. When the input image data do not represent the still image, the panel driver drives the display panel at a first output frame frequency substantially equal to the input frame frequency. When the input image data represent the still image, the panel driver drives the display panel at a second output frame frequency lower than the input frame frequency for a low frequency driving time and drives the display panel at a third output frame frequency higher than the second output frame frequency for a high frequency insertion time determined by one of a panel characteristic of the display panel and a representative gray level of the input image data, after the low frequency driving time.
