Abstract: A display device includes: a memory; a pixel unit including first pixels disposed with a first density in a first area and second pixels disposed with a second density smaller than the first density in a second area in contact with the first area; and a degradation compensator which updates degradation information stored in the memory, based on input grayscales for the first and second pixels, and changes the input grayscales to output grayscales, based on the degradation information. The degradation compensator stores the degradation information in the memory in a unit of block for the pixel unit. The memory stores only first degradation information for each of first blocks including only the first pixels, stores only second degradation information for each of second blocks including only the second pixels, and stores the first and second degradation information for each of third blocks including both the first and second pixels.

Abstract: A display device includes a substrate including a display area including pixels and a non-display area around the display area and including a pad area, and a circuit board attached to the pad area. Pad electrodes arranged along a first direction and a first alignment mark located at a side of the pad electrodes in the first direction and protruding more than the pad electrodes are disposed on the substrate in the pad area. The circuit board includes a base portion, and lead electrodes disposed on the base portion and respectively facing the pad electrodes. A first alignment mark hole is defined through the base portion at a side of the lead electrodes in the first direction, the first alignment mark and the first alignment mark hole have a same shape as each other, and the first alignment mark is accommodated in the first alignment mark hole.

Abstract: In a method of generating compensation data for a display device, first color, second color, and third color compensation value sets may be obtained by capturing first color, second color, and third color images displayed by the display device, respectively, white, first color, second color, and third color loading luminances may be obtained by capturing white, first color, second color, and third color loading patterns displayed by the display device, respectively, first color, second color, and third color scale factors may be calculated by dividing a luminance decrease ratio of the white loading luminance by luminance decrease ratios of the first color, second color, and third color loading luminances, respectively, and the first color, second color, and third color compensation value sets and the first color, second color, and third color scale factors may be stored in the display device.
