Abstract: A fingerprint sensor includes: a first layer including a plurality of pixels; a light transmitting hole array layer including a plurality of light transmitting holes providing light transmitting paths of light rays that are incident through the first layer; and a sensor layer including a plurality of photo sensors configured to sense the light rays that pass through the light transmitting holes and are incident on the sensor layer. A resolution at which the photo sensors are disposed in first areas on the sensor layer differs from a resolution at which the photo sensors are disposed in second areas on the sensor layer.

Abstract: A display device includes a light sensing array layer (LSAL), a substrate, a selective light transmission layer (SLTL), a pixel circuit layer (PCL), a display element layer (DEL), and pixels. The LSAL includes an optical sensor to sense incident light. The substrate is on the LSAL and includes a display area (DA) including pixel areas (PAs), and a non-DA adjacent to the DA. The SLTL is disposed on the substrate and includes through-holes to form a path of light onto the optical sensor, and a light-blocking conductive pattern (LBCP) between the through-holes. The PCL is disposed on the SLTL and includes a conductive layer and an insulation layer. The DEL is disposed on the PCL and emits light. Each pixel includes a pixel circuit disposed on the PCL, and a light emitting element on the DEL in a corresponding pixel area. The LBCP is electrically connected to the conductive layer.

Abstract: A touch sensor includes sensor pixels which provide output currents which change in response to a touch made by a user, a sensor scan driver coupled to the sensor pixels through sensor scan lines and supplies sensor scan signals to the sensor pixels, and a read-out circuit coupled to the sensor pixels through output lines, and senses a touch using the output currents. The sensor scan driver changes a scheme for supplying the sensor scan signals depending on a fingerprint sensing mode and a touch sensing mode.

Abstract: An organic light emitting display device includes a display panel including red sub-pixels, green sub-pixels, first blue sub-pixels, and second blue sub-pixels. A data drive unit receives an image signal and outputs a plurality of data output signals. A demultiplexer distributes the data signals to the red sub-pixels, the green sub-pixels and either the first blue sub-pixels or both the first and second blue sub-pixels in response a drive selection signal. A control unit processes raw image data and provides an image signal to the data drive unit, and detects image data belonging to a first color gamut and a second color gamut from the image data, determines a first blue drive area belonging to the first color gamut and a mixed drive area belonging to the second color gamut, and provides the appropriate selection signal to the demultiplexer to increase efficiency and extend useful life of the display.
